Testing The Army of Islam with drought
When Hazrat Khalid, MAPH, realized that the army of disbelief and polytheism was moving to the “Kazema” region, he also moved to the same direction; But Hormuz realized that Khalid, MAPH, had also left Hafir and was coming to Kazema. Therefore, he immediately reached there with greater speed and moved his troops to the place where there was water and a well.
Allamah Shalabi writes: When Khalid, MAPH, reached Kazema, did not find a suitable place for his troops. Therefore, they settled in a dry and waterless place.
When people saw this situation, they complained that this situation will threaten us in the coming days; Therefore, a solution must be made; Because day by day our morale weakens and as a result, we will not be able to fight with the enemy.
Hazrat Khalid, MAPH, said to the people: “Put the tools and equipment you have on the ground; Then fight fiercely with the enemy to gain access to the water, Undoubtedly, the water will be in the hands of the most steadfast, patient, noble and loyal one of these two armies.
Imam Ibn Kathir writes about the same issue: Hazrat Khalid, MAPH, also said these words to them: «جالدوهم حتى تجلوهم عن الماء». “Fight with your enemy and use force to overcome them and take the water from them”.
The Muslims also obeyed the order of their commander and moved to obey his command, until they were able to bring the armed enemy to their knees. Imam Ibn Kathir says: «فلما استقر بالمسلمين المنزل وهم ركبان على خيولهم، بعث الله سحابة فأمطرتهم حتى صار لهم غدران من ماء. فقوي المسلمون بذلك، وفرحوا فرحا شديداً»؛ “When the Muslims landed in their proper place and settled, while they were riding their horses, Allah Almighty sent a cloud from the sky, that cloud started raining on the Muslims, so that the water became like big pools for them; Therefore, the Muslims became strong with it, their spirit was renewed, and they were very happy.

When the Muslims were established in a suitable place, both armies began to arrange their lines, when both sides faced each other, Hormuz volunteered to come to the field and asked for a man to fight, Hazrat Khalid also volunteered and He entered the battlefield and went to Hormuz, both commanders (faith and disbelief) clashed and each struck the other two times; As a result, Hazrat Khalid (MAPH) hugged him and wanted to complete his work when one of the defenders of “Hormuz” came to the square and wanted to prevent this work. But he couldn’t stand in front of Khalid and prevent him; Because a Mujahid named Qahqaa ibn Amr jumped on that unbeliever like an eagle and destroyed it, after that Hazrat Khalid Saifullah, MAPH, made a serious attack like a sword and destroyed that dog of Kasra, Hormuz Duran, and it was set an example for the Iranians and the foreigners of Iraq.
