Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil: Importance and Methods (Part three)
The Benefits of Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil
Realization of Pure Servitude and Worship to Allah Almighty
As Allah the Exalted says: Translation: “We have surely sent a messenger to every nation, [with the command]: ‘Worship Allah and shun false gods.’ Among them were those whom Allah guided, while others were destined to stray [due to their misconduct].”
Fulfillment of Duty and Conveyance of the Divine Message
Translation: “And [mention] when a group among them said [to those advising the sinners]: ‘Why do you preach to a people whom Allah is going to destroy or punish with a severe torment?’ They replied: ‘To be absolved before your Lord, and perhaps they may become righteous.’”
Averting Widespread Punishment and Calamities from Society
Allah the Exalted says in the Noble Qur’an: “وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِيُهْلِكَ الْقُرَى بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا مُصْلِحُونَ” Translation: “Your Lord would never destroy the towns unjustly while their people were reformers.”
