Federalism from recognition to implementation (Part 3)
A summary of the old works of federalism or Con federalism
In some of the works that have dealt with this issue, the word “Satrapi” has been mentioned. This word has the root of ancient Greece and is derived from another word called “Hakhstarvan” which was used in the old Persian language to mean “townsman”. In Latin, this word is translated as “guardian and protector of power” and in some Persian dictionaries it is interpreted as “governor” and “ruler”.
In short, satrapy power meant the domain under the satrap’s responsibility, which was usually outside the normal empire. The satrap, like the king of kings, had all the powers to do what he wanted.
The birth of democracy to strengthen the popular government system
From the words of the political experts of Ancient Rome and Ancient Greece, it appears that there was no such thing as modern and contemporary democracy at that time; But the free and self-willed nature of people existed since that time. They created this system in a way before the existence of religion and church for the growth and flourishing of their opinions and free opinions.
In fact, the political system of federalism and Con federalism originated in this era and from the heart of the old democracy; Because democracy leaves the right to choose to the people, and the federalism system is partly based on this basis.
The People’s Union database writes: The emergence of Christianity and the subsequent long-term changes in Europe and Central Asia caused by it brought new equations. Religion overshadowed and dominated the governments in these civilizations for centuries.
The first step of the overthrow of the imperial system was created by the churches and religious people, who took the power of the empire as their own under the pretext of divine agency. In 313 AD, a person named “Constantine the Great” created a decree in which he got the signatures of all the powerful men of that time and recognized the church as one of the foundations of power.
The sphere of influence of religion in power expanded to the point where it appropriated all the power and this situation continued for centuries. This time, instead of a treaty and agreement between the governments of different units, the degree and amount of dependence on the church and its various tendencies was set as a criterion.
Was the church able to become popular among its people?
In fact, the religion of Christianity or the church was known as a cover to promote aggression and protect the internal interests of different units; But the idea of units ruling over each other or agreements between several units to maintain and strengthen their position still existed. Gradually, the power war within the religion was also formed and historical conflicts continued in the name of religion or its different tendencies. Europe became an arena of contradictions and conflicts between them.
