The most important discussion about Satanism, which is always mentioned as the most prominent social problem, is the beliefs and deviations of this sect. Investigating this issue seems necessary and essential for a more detailed understanding of this trend and for the purpose of prevention and following up. In the following, first the beliefs and then the biggest deviations of this group will be discussed.
1. Beliefs:
Belief, in the simplest definition, means the mental and internal acceptance and approval of a claim, principles or values. Beliefs and convictions of every sect and trend play an important role in shaping life, decisions and its actions; Therefore, in order to find the root of the deviant behavior of Satanism (in the Islamic society), it is necessary to look at their views on religious issues, especially the principles of religion and the religious foundations of Muslims.
1.1. Satanists and Faith in God:
What is obtained from the history of Satanism is nothing more than instability in their beliefs, especially when it comes to believing in the existence of Allah Almighty. Surveys show that Satanists have two views in this regard:
A) polytheistic viewpoint:
A group of Satanists, although they believe in the existence of Almighty Allah, but at the same time they claim that Satan also has a great position; Therefore, they consider him worthy of sanctification, respect and worship. They believe that Satan has been oppressed; Because he was the only being who stood up to the order of Allah and showed his independence. For this reason, they consider him worthy of support and consecration to regain his lost position. This group considers Satan as a libertarian being and a symbol of freedom.
The Yezidism sect, who are among the Satanists, believe that Satan has holiness and is next to Allah in terms of status. They believe that Allah has entrusted the affairs of this world to Satan. Also, Sunday is considered to be the first day that Allah created it and Satan (peacock angel) was also created on that day.
Based on what has been said, it can be concluded that some Satanists have made Satan a partner of Allah and somehow believe in the division of affairs between Allah and Satan. This idea is a polytheistic belief that the Holy Quran has clearly rejected in several verses. Translation: “Allah has never chosen a child for himself; And there is no other god with him; that if this were the case, each of the gods would plan and manage their creatures and some would seek superiority over others (and the universe would be destroyed); All has glory by what He describe.” He also says: «لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ» Translation: “If there were other gods besides Allah in the heavens and the earth, they would be corrupted (and the system of the world would collapse)!” Allah, the Lord of the Arsh, has glory by his description”.
