The Biography of the sword of Allah “Khalid bin Walid” MAPH (9th part)
Appointment of Hazrat Khalid as the commander of the army
On the one hand, the war was very hot and on the other hand, the Muslims were left without a leader, they had no choice but to appoint Khalid as the commander. Therefore, the vote of all of them was Hazrat Khalid, who should not leave us alone at this critical moment and assume the command of the Islamic Guard.
It was at that time that Hazrat Sabit bin Iqraam, may Allah be pleased with him, took the flag of Islam and called all the people to him. Accept it, Khalid said to him that you are far better than me, you participated in the Battle of Badr and you are also older than me; But he said that you are more knowledgeable about matters and war skills than me; Therefore, you accept this heavy responsibility, after that Khalid took the flag in his hand, Hazrat Sabit said to the people, are you all satisfied with this decision? Everyone expressed their satisfaction with him. This choice was made when the Muslim army was facing defeat moment by moment.
Inevitably, Hazrat Khalid, may Allah be pleased with him, took up the flag of Islam and accepted the leadership of the Mujahideen of Islam, while the army of the infidels, armed to the teeth, was more than two hundred thousand people, they had a high spirit and fighting power; Because some time before this war, they were fighting and were in conflict with the land of Persia and they had managed to defeat all of them; But on the other hand, Lashkar-e-Islam had become very weak and powerless, the Mujahideen did not have adequate forces and weapons, and their number was also very small and few, reaching almost three thousand people.
So, it should be understood that how Sayyidna Khalid, may Allah be pleased with him, can save this group of 3,000 people from the mire of the army of 200,000 infidels and oppressors? What policy should he use?
The Messenger of Allah, PBUH, was informed about Khalid’s command
“Hazrat Khalid, may Allah be pleased with him, took the flag of Islam and appeared among the people. At that moment, the defeat belonged to the Muslims and the polytheists were chasing them; As a result, many Muslims attained the lofty status of martyrdom, at the same time the dead ground was removed and the scene of the battle was shown to the Holy Prophet of Islam, PBUH. The Holy Prophet said: “Now” “Lord! Indeed, Khalid is one of your swords; So only you will help him.” From that day on, Khalid was known as Saifullah (Sword of Allah).
Imam Bukhari, MAPH, has also stated this hadith in the narration of Hazrat Anas Ibn Malik, MAPH, and Imam Ibn Hajar Ashqlani, MAPH, has also given a detailed explanation of the hadith; If the text of the hadith is as follows: «أن النبي صلى‌الله‌عليه‌وسلم نعى زيدا، وجعفرا، وابن رواحة للناس قبل أن يأتيهم خبرهم، فقال: «أخذ الراية زيد فأصيب، ثم أخذ جعفر فأصيب، ثم أخذ ابن رواحة فأصيب» وعيناه تذرفان: «حتى أخذ الراية سيف من سيوف الله، حتى فتح الله عليهم”Before the news of the martyrdom of Zayd, Ja’far and Abdullah bin Rawaha, may Allah be pleased with them, reached the Holy Prophet, MAPH, he himself informed us of their martyrdom, and while his blessed eyes were shedding tears, he said: “Zayd took my flag and became a martyr. Then Jafar was martyred; Then Ibn Rawahah took it and became a martyr, until it was taken away by a sword from the swords of Allah Almighty, and Allah granted victory to the Muslims.
From these hadiths, one of the miracles of the Holy Prophet, PBUH, is proven: where is the city of Medina and where is Mote square?! But with that long distance, by revelation, he was informed about all the events and details of the war.
Another thing that is clear from these hadiths is that the Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him , already knew that all three Amirs would be martyred, and he wanted to display the high and lofty position of Hazrat Khalid, may Allah be pleased with him, at that critical moment, and all know that his faith is real and sincere; Therefore, from these hadiths, the virtues of Hazrat Khalid and his cleverness are clear and obvious.
