Sheikhs and Teachers of Imam Abu Hanifa, may Allah have mercy on him
He had a group of prominent Teachers and sheikhs; Among them: Hammad bin Suliman Ash’ari, Zayd bin Ali Zain al-Abidin, Muhammad Baqir Zain al-Abidin, Ja’far Sadiq, Abdullah bin Hassan bin Hassan, and Jaber bin Yazid Ja’fi, may Allah have mercy on him; But most of all, under the influence of Hammad bin Abi Suliman Ash’ari, may Allah have mercy on him, the jurist of Kufa, he gained knowledge, and he learned the recitation of the Qur’an from the honorable Imam Asim, one of the reciters of the Sab’aa (seven).
Sayings of the Salaf about Imam Abu Hanifah, may Allah have mercy on him
The speeches of the great Salaf’s (predecessors) in honoring and praising Imam Abu Hanifah, may Allah have mercy on him, are Golden lines, and we are writing down some of these majestic Lines to help make his high position as clear as possible.
    1. Imam Shafi’i, may Allah have mercy on him, said about him: “People are in need of Imam Abu Hanifah and their families in jurisprudence.” And in another narration of him, it is said: “Whoever wants to learn jurisprudence, should go and join Abu Hanifa and his companions; Because Undoubtedly, all people are in need of him and their families in jurisprudence.
    2. Abdullah Ibn Mubarak, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “If the news and works are known and there is a need for a vote and an opinion, it should be known that the opinion is the opinion of Malik, Sufyan Thori, and Abu Hanifa, may Allah have mercy on him, and Abu Hanifa, may Allah have mercy on him, is the best of all of them. In terms of intelligence, he is the most accurate and the most profound in jurisprudence.
    3. Hakam Ibn Abdullah, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “Among the people of hadith, I have never seen a more jurist than Sufyan Thori, and Abu Hanifa was a more jurist than him.”
    4. Sufyan bin Aaina, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “I did not think that two things would cross the bridge of Kufa, while they reached all horizons: the recitation of Hamza, and the opinion of Abu Hanifa.”
Theological school of Imam Abu Hanifah, may Allah have mercy on him
Imam Abu Hanifah, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “To derive rulings, I first refer to the Book of Allah Almighty. If I can’t derive a ruling from the Book of Allah (Qur’an) and the Sunnah of the Prophet of Islam, may Allah bless him and grant him, I use the sayings of the Companions and leave the rest and do not act on other words. ” Then he adds: “If a hadith comes to us from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him, we use it, and if it is from the Companions, we are free to accept it, and if it is from the followers, we oppose it.”
