    The Quran: A Miracle Beyond Time- A Study of Its Miraculous Nature (part 87)
    Part Two: The Miracle in the Creation of the Giraffe
    1. Qur’anic Verses on the Precision of Creation
    Allah the Exalted says: «صُنعَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِیٓ أَتقَنَ كُلَّ شَیءٍ» [1] Translation: “The workmanship of Allah, who has perfected all things.”
    The giraffe is a clear example of this perfection and precision in creation.
    1. Extraordinary Height and Physical Structure
    The giraffe is among the tallest living creatures. Its height exceeds six meters, it weighs approximately one ton, and when running, it can reach speeds exceeding 60 kilometers per hour. Despite the unusual length of its neck, this massive structure maintains a remarkable balance.
    1. 360-Degree Vision: An Intelligent Surveillance System
    Allah has equipped the giraffe with two prominent eyes that provide a 360-degree field of vision. With its neck rising high above the ground like a tower, its eyes monitor the entire horizon. This makes the giraffe one of the most environmentally aware and well-protected animals in the wild.
    1. The Longest Trachea Among Land Animals
    The giraffe possesses the longest trachea among terrestrial animals, measuring more than one and a half meters. Such an exceptional length requires precise physiological functioning to ensure continuous oxygen supply without disruption.
    1. The Miracle of Blood Circulation When Lowering the Neck
    The most astonishing feature of the giraffe is its unique blood pressure regulation system.
    The Natural Challenge
    When a giraffe lowers its head to the ground to feed, gravity should cause blood to rush forcefully toward the head. Naturally, this could result in ruptured blood vessels, cerebral hemorrhage, or at the very least, loss of consciousness. Yet this does not occur.
    The Divine Solution
    Allah has placed within the giraffe’s neck:
    1. Flexible muscular tissues that expand to accommodate excess blood when pressure increases;
    2. Specialized vascular structures that close when the head is suddenly raised, preventing a rapid backward flow of blood;
    3. A gradual reopening mechanism that allows blood to return to the body slowly and safely.
    This extraordinary system is a clear manifestation of precision and perfection in divine creation.
    1. The Power of the Giraffe’s Heart
    The giraffe’s heart pumps approximately 55 liters of blood per minute. Its blood pressure is significantly higher than that of most other animals, and its powerful muscular structure is specifically designed to propel blood several meters upward to the brain. This pumping strength is part of the precise biological engineering that ensures proper cerebral circulation.
    1. The Giraffe as a Symbol of Precision and Wisdom in Creation
    There is no creature in the heavens or the earth except that Allah has created it in the best form, without imbalance or deficiency.
    «مَّا تَرَىٰ فِی خَلقِ ٱلرَّحمَٰنِ مِن تَفَٰوُتٖ» [2] Translation: “You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency.”
    The more deeply a person reflects upon creation, the more signs of divine power, wisdom, knowledge, and mercy become evident.
    The horse—loyal, courageous, intelligent, and strong—and the giraffe—with its towering height, extraordinary blood pressure system, and expansive vision—are both clear signs of divine greatness. Each is like a book proclaiming that Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise, All-Aware, All-Powerful, and Praiseworthy, and that His creation is filled with miraculous precision.
    Allah calls humanity to reflect upon creation: «قُلِ ٱنظُرُواْ مَاذَا فِی ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلأَرضِ» [3] Translation: “Say: Observe what is in the heavens and the earth.”
