Beliefs and Doctrines of Scientology and a Critique of It (Continued)
At this point, it is appropriate to mention a few sound and convincing proofs for the existence of Allah, so that they may serve as a refutation of the baseless and absurd claims of the deniers of God:
    1. The Proof of Creation
The Noble Qur’an, as a comprehensive and guiding Book, mentions in many verses some of the signs of the existence and power of Allah that are understandable to all human beings. Translation: These verses describe the various stages of human creation: first from clay, then from a drop of fluid, then becoming an ‘alaqah (a clinging substance), then a mudghah (chewed-like substance), then bones, then the bones are covered with flesh, and finally, the human is given a new form when the soul is breathed into him. Modern physicians also affirm that the embryo remains in the form of ‘alaqah and mudghah for a period before gradually developing into a complete human being. This reality itself is a clear sign of Allah’s limitless power and knowledge.
It is also mentioned in a Hadith that an angel is appointed to move the embryo to the next stage after forty nights. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said that the angel comes to the embryo and asks: “O Lord, will it be male or female? Fortunate or unfortunate? How long will its lifespan be, and what will its provisions be?” Then Allah reveals all of that to him.
At the end of the verse, Allah says: «فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ» Translation: “So blessed is Allah, the best of creators!”
The beauty, precision, and astonishing order in the creation of the human being, and the formation of its limbs and organs, are among the clearest signs of Allah’s power. It is Allah who has given humans bright eyes, hearing ears, and understanding hearts. He is the One who creates such an amazing and beautiful being from blood and dust, bringing forth strength and intelligence from weakness. All of these are manifest signs of His limitless knowledge, wisdom, and power.
Translation: And among His signs is that He created for you spouses from your own kind so that you may find tranquility in them, and He placed affection and mercy between you. Indeed, in this are signs for people who reflect.
Translation: And among His signs are the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your languages and colors. Surely in these are signs for those who possess knowledge.
Translation: And among His signs is your sleep by night and day, and your seeking of His bounty. Indeed, in these are signs for people who listen.
    2. The Proof of the Truthful Witness
If two just individuals testify to a matter, their testimony is accepted. Then how is it that Allah, through His revelation and through the tongues of His truthful prophets, (MABH) testifies to His own existence? Thousands of prophets were sent throughout history—truthful, trustworthy, pure-hearted individuals known by their nations for honesty and integrity. They had lofty positions among their people and called only to truth and salvation. We have never heard of anyone giving testimony without evidence—let alone from the other side of the world. Yet thousands of prophets gave testimony, supported by miracles and clear proofs, and tens of thousands from their nations heard their words.
    3. The Philosophical Proofs
The existence of Allah is also established by decisive and universally accepted philosophical arguments, including the following:
    a. Every physical body necessarily possesses movement; therefore, all natural bodies are in motion. Every moving thing requires a mover. This chain must lead back to a First Mover, where the sequence of movers ends. The First Mover cannot be moving Himself, for then it would require another mover, leading to infinite regress, which is impossible. Furthermore, a moving thing cannot move itself. Therefore, we must affirm the existence of a powerful unmoved Mover—the ultimate cause of all movements. The First Mover cannot be an accident (a‘rāḍ), because accidents have no independence. Nor can it be a physical substance (jawhar), because physical substances are themselves subject to movement and change. Thus, the First Mover must be beyond accidents, bodies, and physical substances, and must possess complete power of creation, movement, and influence.
    b. The universe and everything within it possess accidental, not inherent, existence. This is because the universe undergoes constant change, transformation, and decay—observed even with the naked eye. Anything subject to change has an accidental existence and is created. Everything created requires a Creator who is eternal. Therefore, since the universe and all its parts are subject to change, they are created and require an eternal and powerful Creator.
    4. The Botanical Proof
Plants and trees feed from soil, water, and sunlight. The bee extracts nectar from flowers and produces sweet, pure honey. The silkworm eats mulberry leaves and produces fine, beautiful silk. Though the source of nourishment is the same, the outcomes are entirely different. This is a clear sign of Allah’s power and wise creation: from the same basic substance, He creates vastly different and beneficial products.
