Creation of human in the Best Structure
The creation of human is one of the great wonders of creation that Allah Almighty has created in the best order and structure. It is stated in the Holy Quran: لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ فِيٓ أَحۡسَنِ تَقۡوِيمٖ 4 ثُمَّ رَدَدۡنَٰهُ أَسۡفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ 5 إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَلَهُمۡ أَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُونٖ 6 Translation: “We have certainly created man in the best of stature. Then We made him the lowest of the lowly. Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have an endless reward.” ]Al-Tin:4-6]
These verses not only indicate the excellent quality of human creation; but also point to the descent of human to the lowest position if he deviates from the path of truth.
The Creation of human and Its Perfection
Allah Almighty has created everything with complete perfection and precision. It is stated in the Holy Quran: مَّا تَرَىٰ فِي خَلۡقِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ مِن تَفَٰوُتٖۖ فَٱرۡجِعِ ٱلۡبَصَرَ هَلۡ تَرَىٰ مِن فُطُورٖTranslation: “You will not find any discord, contradiction, or disproportion in the creations of the Merciful Allah (indeed, existence, with all its greatness, is endowed with amazing coherence and stability, and strange order and system, and precise laws and relationships govern every atom of the universe). So look again (and examine the world carefully). Do you see any discord or breach?” [Al-Molk: 3].
This verse is evidence of the perfection of creation and the system of creation. Man has a special place among creatures due to his complex and precise structure.
The following verse also shows Allah’s ability to create man in any form and shape He wills: ثُمَّ ٱرۡجِعِ ٱلۡبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيۡنِ يَنقَلِبۡ إِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ خَاسِئٗا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٞ Translation: “Look again and again. The eye will return to you, bewildered, helpless, and helpless.” [Al-Molk: 4]
And the verse also clearly shows the precision and order in the creation of man: فِيٓ أَيِّ صُورَةٖ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ 8 Translation: “Then He fashioned you in whatever form He willed, and the composition is complete.” [Al-Infatar: 8]
Physical and structural characteristics of humans
As the most complex machine of creation, humans have cells, tissues, organs and systems whose functions exceed the full understanding of even the best scientists. From the protective skin to the eyes, ears, brain, liver and the body’s defense system, all work in perfect harmony and with unparalleled precision.
Human defense system
One of the most obvious signs of order in the human body is the defense system, which is responsible for the defense of the body.
This system has three main lines of defense:
First line of defense: The skin of the body, which protects against the entry of microbes and diseases.
Second line of defense: Specific systems of each organ such as eyelids, tears of the eyes, etc., which have a protective role.
Third line of defense: White blood cells, which act as soldiers of the defense system. The number of these cells is about 25 million on normal days and reaches hundreds of millions when needed.
These cells communicate with each other with extraordinary coordination and precision, and after identifying the enemy, they destroy it and clean its remains so that the body remains clean and healthy.
The Importance of the soul and intellect in humans
Humans are not just physical beings; rather, the soul and intellect play a decisive role in their existence. The soul is the seat of feelings, emotions, needs, and values, so complex that even psychology has not yet been able to understand all its dimensions.
Intellect, with its reasoning, analytical, and innovative abilities, has placed humans in the highest position among creatures. Allah says in the Qur’an: وَلَقَدۡ كَرَّمۡنَا بَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ وَحَمَلۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَرَزَقۡنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ وَفَضَّلۡنَٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٖ مِّمَّنۡ خَلَقۡنَا تَفۡضِيلاTranslation: “We have honored mankind (by granting them intelligence, will, choice, the power of imagination, speech and writing, upright posture, etc.), and We have carried them on land and sea (on various vehicles), and We have provided them with good and delicious things, and We have given them complete superiority over many of Our creations.” [Surah Isra: 70].
Human’s Fall from the Best harmony
Although man was created in the best form and with perfect order; But if he deviates from the path of truth and follows his instincts without control and without observing the law and reason, he will fall and return to the lowest position, as stated in the Quranic verse: ثُمَّ رَدَدۡنَٰهُ أَسۡفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ Translation: “Then We will return him to the lowest of the low (and among the worst of people).” [Al-Tin: 5]
This fall shows the direct relationship between the physical harmony and the mental and spiritual health of human. Diseases such as the immune deficiency that threatens the world today are a clear example of this fall and the weakness of the body’s defense system.
Finally, as a summary, we say that the creation of human in the best order and harmony is a clear sign of Allah’s infinite power and wisdom. The complex and harmonious structure of the human body, together with the soul and intellect, has made human a privileged being who can attain high degrees and divine nearness, provided that he remains on the path of truth and servitude to Allah Almighty. Deviation from this path leads not only to spiritual destruction, but also to the collapse of the natural order of the body. [1]
