    The Western World:
The several-thousand-year history of the West is filled with oppression and crimes against humanity. From the earliest days in which the West became known, murder, theft, plunder, slavery, oppression, and crime have been inseparable parts of Western civilization — and still are. Distorting realities and presenting the truth in reverse is part of the Western character and has been so for as long as the West has existed.
From the beginning of the 16th century, European states — driven by their advancements in various fields, especially military industries — set out to conquer other parts of the world. In doing so, they added dark chapters to world history. The Portuguese were the first to launch global conquests, soon followed by the Spanish, who later lost their dominance, after which it was the turn of England, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy to seize lands across the globe and enslave other nations.
To expand their domination, they employed the filthiest of tricks and, through their philosophers and thinkers, invented ideologies that could easily deceive the world and bring it under their control.
Distorting the history of oppressed nations, eradicating their cultures, and ultimately eliminating religion were key tools of colonialists in destroying nations. They altered the histories of America and Africa with such skill that only now, after extensive archaeological excavations, is the extent of the so-called civilized plunder becoming clear.
Racism, exploitation and plunder, homosexuality, enslaving humans, murder and torture — these have been core features of Western civilization in both the past and the present, and as long as this civilization endures, it will continue to embody these traits.
Anthony Arblaster beautifully describes the essence of the West in these words: “What is this world if not a complete hell in which nothing exists but lies and deceit, gluttony and drunkenness, immorality and depravity, war and bloodshed? In short, there is neither compassion nor honor, and no one trusts another. One must be as suspicious of friends as of enemies — sometimes even more so. Yes, this is the global realm ruled by the devil himself.”
The only true superiority of Western civilization lies in its use of force and coercion. In every other respect, this civilization is uglier than that of the East. Western domination is, in fact, the dominance of materialist ideologies in various forms.
Kofi Annan, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, in a message marking the year 2004, announced the abolition of slavery. Yet today, millions of men, women, and children are bought and sold like livestock around the world, forced into labor, trafficked across borders, and often sold for prostitution.
Ahmad Saif writes: “Criminals and offenders bring women and children to Europe to satisfy the demand for prostitutes in European markets.”
As Alex Duval Smith wrote in The Guardian: “Europe today is characterized by the free movement of goods and girls: phone-sex workers, brides, escorts, dancers, hostesses — and a chain of other female-centered occupations that often end in overt prostitution. Women from Africa, Latin America, and increasingly Eastern Europe are brought to the West with promises of work permits and high-paying jobs like dancing or restaurant work but are instead sold into slavery. Once in Europe, their passports are confiscated, and they are forced to work as prostitutes up to twelve hours a day to repay inflated debts for food, shelter, and travel. Sometimes they are given drugs to make their work bearable. They are imprisoned, beaten, and raped.”
Another brutal aspect of this savage trade involves children. In Italy, according to Il Manifesto, teenagers are bought and sold for prostitution and infants for begging and petty crime.
The author of the book War Against Women — herself a woman and a feminist advocate — considers women to be tools in the hands of wealthy men. She writes: “One of the most disgraceful forms of exploitative development is a new trade called ‘sex tourism,’ which has been promoted as a development strategy by international agencies.”
This “civilizing” industry was first planned and supported by the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and American international agencies. In sex tourism, men from developed countries travel to brothels set up specifically for them in the Third World. These centers of corruption are filled with young girls and teenagers, sold like slaves by their poor rural fathers. Thailand, South Korea, and the Philippines are among the main sex tourism hubs today. Some Japanese businessmen are sent to these places by their companies as a reward.
Another part of the sex industry is trafficking, in which private companies — most of them based in Western countries — sell Asian or Latin American women, openly advertising them as obedient, submissive, and compliant wives.
Moreover, the existence of hundreds of satellite networks and thousands of television channels promoting immorality and increasing prostitution and corruption — all in the name of women’s rights — clearly reveals their ugly reality.
