Why Do You Judge So Hastily?
“لَولا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ ظَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًا وَقَالُوا هَٰذَا إِفْكٌ مُّبِينٌ” Translation: “Why, when you heard it, did not the believing men and believing women think good of one another and say, ‘This is an obvious falsehood’?”
Therefore:
1.One must not accept every statement without investigation, and until definitive evidence is found, the matter should be viewed with good faith and positive assumptions. Hence, spreading and amplifying rumors is forbidden.
2.The bond among Muslims and the love and affection they hold for one another must be so strong that they consider their fellow Muslim’s problems as their own. Just as one thinks positively of oneself, one should also think positively of other Muslims. This is so important that Allah did not say, “Think well of others,” but said, “Think well of yourselves,” implying that just as you consider such acts unlikely from yourself, consider them unlikely from your fellow Muslims as well.
3.If you hear offensive or inappropriate statements about a Muslim, do not believe them quickly or add to them. Rather, a believer’s duty is to reject such accusations immediately and say, “No! This is completely false and a great lie.” Thus, protecting the honor and reputation of others is of great importance in Islam, and it is not permissible to remain silent in the face of baseless and unjustified rumors about believers.
Why Don’t You Bring Evidence for Your Claim? “لَوْلَا جَاؤُوا عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ ۚ فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِالشُّهَدَاءِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ عِندَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ” Translation: “Why did they not produce four witnesses for it? And when they do not produce the witnesses, then they are, in the sight of Allah, the liars.”
Therefore:
1.One must not believe someone who makes an accusation against others. Instead, such a person must be asked for proof, documentation, and witnesses. In an Islamic society, gullibility and haste in believing things should not prevail; otherwise, any spiteful person could ruin a Muslim’s reputation. Thus, the claimant must provide valid witnesses.
2.If the accuser cannot present convincing evidence or witnesses for their claims, their words should be ignored, and they should be humiliated and punished physically so that others dare not repeat such acts.
The Grace and Mercy of the Lord Is Always with the Believers: “وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِي مَا أَفَضْتُمْ فِيهِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ” Translation: “And if it had not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy in this world and the Hereafter, you would have been touched for that [lie] in which you were involved by a great punishment.”
Therefore:
Humans must understand that if Allah’s mercy and grace were not upon them, they would quickly face destruction due to their own improper actions. Yet the Merciful Lord, with His kindness, always supports them and saves them from the brink of misguidance and misery.
A believer must be cautious not to voice every thought that comes to mind, for groundless words may lead to ruin and divine punishment both in this world and the Hereafter. It is by Allah’s mercy that He does not punish us for every word we say, otherwise, many people would face painful torment for the false accusations they utter.
Do Not Take Accusations Against Others Lightly!
“إِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَهُ بِأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَتَقُولُونَ بِأَفْوَاهِكُم مَّا لَيْسَ لَكُم بِهِ عِلْمٌ وَتَحْسَبُونَهُ هَيِّنًا وَهُوَ عِندَ اللَّهِ عَظِيمٌ” Translation: “When you received it with your tongues and said with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge and thought it was insignificant while it was, in the sight of Allah, tremendous.”
Therefore:
1.Never accept words without proper investigation.
2.Speak only based on knowledge and awareness, and never issue judgments about things you are ignorant of.
3.Do not play with people’s honor and dignity or consider it something trivial.
4.Spreading baseless rumors, especially when they endanger a Muslim’s honor, is a major sin. You may consider it unimportant, but before Allah, it is extremely grave.
“وَلَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ قُلْتُمْ مَّا يَكُونُ لَنَا أَن نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهَٰذَا ۚ سُبْحَانَكَ هَٰذَا بُهْتَانٌ عَظِيمٌ” Translation: “And why, when you heard it, did you not say, ‘It is not for us to speak of this. Exalted are You [O Allah]; this is a great slander’?”
Believers Must Listen to the Quranic Warnings!
“يَعِظُكُمُ اللَّهُ أَن تَعُودُوا لِمِثْلِهِ أَبَدًا إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ” Translation: “Allah warns you never to return to the likes of it [this slander] ever again, if you should be believers.”
Therefore:
1.The Quran recounts such stories to serve as lessons for the believers.
2.Humans always need reminders and advice, especially divine ones.
3.Sharing cautionary tales prevents others from committing similar errors.
4.Spreading the story of Ifk and not accepting the innocence of Ayesha (MABH) is unbefitting of a true believer.
“وَيُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ” Translation: “And Allah makes clear to you the verses, and Allah is Knowing and Wise.”
Therefore:
1.Such clear rulings exist for human well-being.
2.Allah’s declaration of divine laws is a sign of His care for His servants.
3.The lawful and unlawful must be determined by Allah, not humans.
4.The emergence of the Ifk incident and its explanation in the Quran are by divine wisdom and knowledge.
Severe Punishment for Those Who Insult Ayesha (MABH)
“إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِي الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ” Translation: “Indeed, those who like that immorality should be spread [or publicized] among those who have believed will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah knows and you do not know.”
Therefore:
1.Those who today, through writing, speech, media, etc., try to tarnish the Prophet’s family and companions (Sahaba) will face painful punishment.
2.Those who repeat these baseless rumors to serve their own agendas will soon be punished.
3.Hypocrites say even worse things about the mother of the Believers and the Prophet’s companions in private gatherings—Allah alone knows their evil and has prepared severe punishment for them.
4.One must conceal the faults of Muslims; enjoying the spread of scandals is a sign of weak faith.
“وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ” Translation: “And if it had not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, and because Allah is Kind and Merciful…”
Therefore:
1.Anyone who has thus far followed this wicked path of slandering Ayesha (MABH) can still repent.
2.Allah, in His mercy, will forgive those who sincerely repent. So, let us abandon this disgraceful act of defaming the mother of the Believers.
Those Who Insult Ayesha Are Followers of Satan!
“يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّبِعُوا خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ ۚ وَمَن يَتَّبِعْ خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنكَرِ ۚ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ مَا زَكَىٰ مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَبَدًا وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يُزَكِّي مَن يَشَاءُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ” Translation: “O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Satan—indeed, he enjoins immorality and wrongdoing. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, not one of you would have been pure, ever. But Allah purifies whom He wills, and Allah is Hearing and Knowing.”
1.Those who – God forbid – accuse ʿAyesha al-Siddiqah (MABH) of adultery and immorality are devils and the offspring of Iblis.
2.O youth! And O believers! Do not listen to the words of such people, for they are the agents of Satan; therefore, do not follow in their footsteps.
3.Those who follow the malicious and deceptive words of showy scholars and hypocritical, irreligious individuals should know that these tricksters only incite you to insult ʿAyesha al-Ṣiddīqah (MABH) and the Companions and supporters of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH).
4.To be saved from this peril and satanic trap, raise your hands in prayer and turn to Allah, so that by His grace and mercy, He may guide you and cleanse you from the sins of your past speech.
5.Attaining true purification (Tazkiyah) is not possible without divine grace and assistance.
