A Concise Overview of the History and Ideologies of Communism (Part 13)
A Rebuttal of Communism’s Thoughts and Beliefs
    3. Realism
In this system (Islam), all issues are designed based on realism and correct analysis. In fact, the material interests of individuals and the spiritual interests of society are beautifully intertwined, and it is not absolute idealism that is unattainable; because whenever in some eras it has obtained the appropriate platform for realizing its principles, it has left behind many practical examples and positive effects, such as the early days of Islam, which has remained immortal as a shining point in human history.
    4. Worship System
In the Islamic system, good deeds are done in response to the command of Allah Almighty, and good deeds are done only for His pleasure: «إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ لا نُرِيدُ مِنْكُمْ جَزَاءً وَلا شُكُورًا» Translation: “We feed you for the sake of Allah, and we do not want from you any reward or thanks.”
There is no motivation for fleeting material benefits in it; rather, it is all the grace of Allah, which is combined with worship in its full meaning. Islam has not reduced worship to performing religious rituals; Rather, all of life must be subject to the divine law: “قُلْ إِنَّ صَلاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ * لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ” Translation: “Say: Indeed, my prayer, my sacrifice, my life, and my death are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. He has no partner, and I have been commanded to do so, and I am the first of the Muslims.”
Life, with all its systems and in all its spheres of activity, moves towards Allah; therefore, every social service and every righteous deed is considered an act of worship to Allah Almighty.
In such a pleasant atmosphere of the social system, the individual understands the pleasure of reward, and every sincere person seeks it, and every believer feels happy with it.
In such an environment, the goals are beyond the limited desires of this world, and the person seeks to obtain the reward of the hereafter; because the hereafter is better and more lasting, and the sincere worship of Allah gives such spirituality to human social actions that is not found in anything other than Islam. In capitalism, you do not see a place for good deeds, and everyone is obliged to continue working regardless of the reaction of others. In the social system of Islam, the goals are high and do not stop at the reward of humans; because the good person hopes for something greater than what humans have; he hopes for the pleasure of Allah and Paradise; so how great are the goals and how high are the intentions directed towards Allah!
This is the great goal that Allah Almighty has set for the end of life; it is a worship that provides worldly peace with all its meanings; Peace in the soul, religion, property, intellect, honor, and in everything that affects society and life.
    5. Moderation
One of the characteristics of the Islamic social system is moderation in Islamic legislation and commands, which is undoubtedly based on human reason and nature. Moderation between the material and spiritual life of man creates the necessary harmony and, in addition to providing a plan for this world, also guarantees the happiness of individuals in the hereafter.
کی رسد ایمان مؤمن بر کمال *** تا نیابد فعل و خُلقش اعتدال
راهرو یابد حیات بی‌زوال *** وصف و خُویش جمله گیرد اعتدال
Translation: “The believer’s faith does not reach its perfection *** until his actions and behavior find moderation”
“The passenger Finds the path to eternal life *** his characteristics and manners will all present Moderation”
    6. Comprehensiveness
Islam has established perfect balance and proportion between all parts of human social life. In fact, this divine system is comprehensive and all humans can benefit from it, although at first it seems that the Islamic social life system is only for Muslims; But in a general sense, it can be said that Islam considers love and enmity for Allah to be the main criterion governing all social relations. In this case, a ranking is created in all social relations. The closer individuals are to Allah, the stronger their social relations and the more emotional connection they have; because this high level of social relations is accompanied by deep emotional roots and bonds. The Quran also mentions this issue: «المؤمنون و المؤمنات بعضهم اولیاء بعض» Translation: “The believing men and the believing women are the guardians of one another.” However, outside of this category, the existence of other stages of social relations is not denied; rather, the Islamic system includes many religious teachings such as observing politeness and respect in dealing with others and a sense of altruism.
    7. Having internal and external executive guarantees
In Islam, there are many teachings about the social life of individuals that all Muslims must observe. The principles and pillars of these teachings are presented in the form of jurisprudential orders and regulations, in the form of necessary (Wajeb), desirable (Mustahab), forbidden (Emphatically forbidden), and disliked (Makruh) rulings so that the Muslim individual has the necessary motivation to observe them. In addition, in religious teachings, beneficial social effects and rewards in the hereafter are stated so that individuals are encouraged to carry them out. On the other hand, these teachings have prohibited individuals from disobeying by stating the harms resulting from the failure to implement this system and the punishments in the hereafter.
Another part of the executive guarantee of this system has gone beyond the individual and moral aspect and has acquired a legal aspect that can be pursued and punished; such as the accusation of adultery, for which the punishment of whipping and flogging is considered.
These were the general characteristics of Islam regarding the social system, which were briefly and comprehensively stated. By examining these social characteristics, every wise and alert person comes to believe that all rights in this system are intended for the interests of the individual and none of its laws and principles are written to secure the interests of a few superiors by violating the rights of a few inferiors; rather, it places everyone in a higher and superior position to the extent of their social and noble morality and respect for the rights of their fellow human beings, and opens their way to reaching the highest social and moral levels. It gives a person the option to choose one of the two paths, good or bad, and makes it possible to reward or punish it, and the laws and system governing society themselves do not impose anything against him without having a role in it.
