Qurbani (Sacrifice): Its Importance, Virtues, Philosophy and Etiquette (Part 6)
D: “When Wolves Pretend to Be Oppressed and Become Vegetarians”.
As Eid al-Azha approaches, people who used to eat kebabs, chicken, and sheep’s head and trotters all year round become vegetarians and criticize Islam with an enlightened attitude! They slander meat-eating under the pretext of defending the rights of living animals, unaware that research has shown that plants are living beings like us and have feelings; that is, plants are also alive, they see, they hear, and they feel pain when they are cut or broken. [1]
If atheists are so compassionate, they should also stop being vegetarians and start eating dirt.
On the other hand, these vegetarian friends also oppress animals; Because they eat the food of these oppressed animals, which is grass, and they do not pay attention to the fact that one of the main problems in the present era is the decrease in pastures for herbivorous animals!!
Also, their clothes are mostly made from animals [such as wool, hair and skin] and plants [such as cotton and linen]. They use leather shoes, bags and belts in abundance.
This group eats animal milk, which is actually the food of helpless baby animals in the form of milk, yogurt, cheese, butter, buttermilk and…!!
Do not let these false claimant’s object.
E: Sharia slaughter is the best type of animal slaughter: because the number of microbes in Sharia slaughter and without electric anesthesia is less due to the large amount of blood that is lost. [2]
Also, animals are less tortured in Sharia slaughter.
Do atheists know of a better way other than Sharia slaughter? Several methods have been suggested:
    By air injection:
The lactic acid of the animal increases after killing it by injecting air and causes the animal to suffer more pain. [3]
    Anesthetizing the animal before slaughtering:
The animal loses its consciousness after Islamic slaughter in only 2 to 7 seconds; but when the animal is anesthetized before slaughtering, the brain stops working after 18 to 70 seconds; therefore, slaughtering the animal without anesthesia (Islamic slaughter) is more humane. [4]
    Electric shock:
There are those who give the animal an electric shock and then slaughter it, thinking that by giving the animal an electric shock, it will lose consciousness and then be slaughtered quickly. What is surprising is that they have multiplied the animal’s pain by giving the animal an electric shock and then slaughtering the animal, because many animals that have been stunned by the electric shock have regained consciousness; But they slaughtered them without paying attention to this issue, as if they had killed them twice! [5]
