    Jahmiyyah Sect (Part 22)
    Introduction
One of the most important and controversial issues between Ahl al-Sunnah and opposing groups, including the Jahmiyyah, is the issue of seeing Allah Almighty on the Day of Judgment. This topic has garnered significant attention from researchers, and many works have been written on the subject. In this part of the research, we intend to examine this issue in detail and provide arguments from both sides.
The issue of seeing Allah Almighty for believers in the Hereafter is one of the noblest and greatest matters of belief. This issue is not only the ultimate and final goal but is also regarded as the highest honor and blessing that the ancients aspired to, and for which the worshippers worked diligently to attain.
Seeing Allah Almighty is a proven truth that is supported by the Book of Allah, the mutawatir hadiths, and the consensus of Muslims. However, the misguided Jahmiyyah sect and those influenced by them have denied this fact.
Will Allah the Almighty Be Seen on the Day of Judgment or Not?
There are two views on this matter:
    1. The view of Ahl al-Sunnah wa-al Jama’ah They believe that Allah the Almighty will be seen on the Day of Judgment and that believers will behold their Lord.
    2. The view of the Jahmiyyah, Mu’tazila, and similar groups: These groups contend that it is impossible to see Allah the Almighty on the Day of Judgment.
    The View of the Jahmiyyah
Abdul-Aziz ibn Abi Salamah Majshun (may Allah have mercy on him) writes: “The devil kept instigating the Jahmiyyah group to deny the verse:
«وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌ إِلَى رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ» (On that Day, they will have fresh and radiant faces, looking at their Lord). They claimed that none of the servants of Allah Almighty will see Him on the Day of Resurrection. In this way, they denied the greatest honor that Allah has bestowed upon His friends and lovers.”
It was narrated from Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said about those who deny seeing Allah Almighty: “Whoever does not believe in seeing Allah Almighty is a Jahmi.”
Imam Awza’i (may Allah have mercy on him) also stated: “I hope that Allah Almighty will deprive Jahm and his followers of seeing Him in Paradise. Jahm ibn Safwan is the one who denied seeing Allah Almighty. This is despite seeing Allah Almighty being the best reward that Allah has promised to His servants.”
Qazi Abu Bakr Baqlani (may Allah have mercy on him) criticized the Jahmiyyah view on denying the seeing of Allah Almighty in his book Al-Insaf.
    Ahl al-Sunnah wa-al Jama’ah Viewpoint
Ahl al-Sunnah wa-al Jama’ah believe that seeing Allah Almighty on the Day of Judgment is certain for the believers and that they will see their Lord in Paradise.
Imam Abu Hanifa (may Allah have mercy on him) stated: “We confess that the meeting with Allah Almighty is a certain truth for the people of Paradise, without any quality, likeness, or direction.” Imam Abu Mansur Maturidi (may Allah have mercy on him) elaborated on this phrase: “The meaning of the meeting with Allah Almighty is seeing Allah Almighty in the Hereafter; a vision that occurs without any distance between Allah and His servants.”
This statement encapsulates the views of both sides on the issue of seeing Allah Almighty. It is hoped that through study and reflection, the truth will become clear to everyone.
