Researchers have identified various types of security, in addition to the two aforementioned types (personal and social security). It is worth noting that different perspectives exist on this topic, and each author has aimed to present various forms of security. Below, we will describe some of the most important types of security in more detail.
1. Family Security:
The family is the smallest unit in building a society and community. It is the foundation and pillar upon which society relies for structure and integrity. Therefore, the well-being of a family contributes to the overall well-being of society. Conversely, if families in a society are unhealthy or morally flawed, that society will become mired in problems.
Every family may face threats from both humans and animals. All measures taken by a family to protect itself against such threats—such as installing CCTV cameras, using smart door locks, and wall guards—are aimed at ensuring family security.
Individual security, mentioned earlier, is the fundamental basis for building a society. However, the family serves as a broader environment where an individual lives, acting as a place of upbringing and as the link between the individual and society. This is why Quranic verses and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) place immense emphasis on the integrity and stability of the family.
Security is one of the issues that have preoccupied humanity throughout different eras. Establishing security within society and providing the necessary conditions for maintaining order depend on the lawfulness of its members. Additionally, the family is the foundation of social structure; the health of society and the family are interconnected. Security was born with humanity, and throughout history, there has been no society that has long remained free of security concerns or issues.
2. Absence of Assurance Through Speech and Actions:
This type of insecurity arises from a lack of kind words, respectful interactions, and proper greetings with others. If a person does not feel safe in a society, their life can feel like hell, as they constantly fear being attacked or eliminated. However, if a person who was previously an adversary is granted safety and assured that no one harbors ill intentions toward them, they can live peacefully without worries.
3. Security of Beliefs and Faith:
In Islam, all beliefs and faiths are respected, protected, and valued. Adherents of these beliefs are in complete safety and are never forced or coerced to abandon their own beliefs in favor of others’.
