In the previous section, we divided security into two types; the first type, personal security, was explained earlier. In this section, we will discuss the second type of security: social security.

Social security is a shared responsibility between individuals and the government. Over time, the government and society become inseparable from one another; when this balance is disrupted, it can lead to insecurity.
Social security is a fundamental indicator of comprehensive security in any social system, enhanced by its sustainable development at the community level and the stability of the social order. Clear examples of security include maintaining and respecting the beliefs of citizens, fostering social cohesion, ensuring collective order within society, providing comfort and social welfare, implementing effective social and cultural policies, and creating conditions that promote a sense of security and psychological peace among citizens. Additionally, achieving an acceptable standard of living and facilitating the stable and informed participation of citizens in decision-making processes are crucial; these actions strengthen cultural cohesion and social solidarity while contributing to the continuity of social capital.
These factors help evaluate the relationship between sustainable development and social security in any society as a social reality.
Social security is a vital component of national security, influenced by factors such as the absence of addiction, the reduction of crime, and improvements in health. It represents a state of peace of mind that every society must work to provide for its members.
