Addiction and Drugs (The11th and Final Part)
    Tip
The Rule of Sharia on the Use of Drugs in Palliative Medicine
The ruling on the cultivation of drug sources varies depending on the intended use. If cultivation is for pharmaceutical purposes, it is permissible; however, if it is for impermissible purposes, it is forbidden. Given the complexities of contemporary society, permission to cultivate should not be general; rather, it should be subject to government supervision and control to ensure that only the required amounts are planted.
Dr. Wahba Al-Zohili says: “A little consumption is good for treatment; Because its sanctity is not inherent, but due to their losses”.
Also, Shaikh al-Islam Maulana Abdul Hamid (R.A) says: “According to Sharia, drug addiction, buying and selling, and cultivation of drugs are absolutely forbidden. Of course, if a doctor prescribes a medicine that contains drugs, then it is permissible to use that medicine.” Of course, there is a difference among scholars regarding the use of drugs for treatment, and as much as there are opponents of this theory, there are supporters of this theory in the field of jurisprudence who say there is no problem in using it for the treatment of disease.
    Conclusion
It is very beautiful to have a society free of addicts. How beautiful is the day when the father of the family, mother, son and daughter return to the warm embrace of the family after years of addiction?! Even more beautiful is the day when young Muslims hold a pen in their hand and feel the pain of the Ummah in their hearts instead of having a syringe and injecting it. Hoping for a day when the powerful arms of the youth will be used in the way of Allah and in the fight against the infidels and colonialists, instead of being wasted due to the use of drugs.
