Many unnecessary and unreasonable words have been said, and many criticisms have been raised about the false illusion and slander that Islam has spread by the sword. However, much less has been said about the forced imposition of democracy, and its dimensions have not been thoroughly investigated—an imposition that has come at the cost of shedding the blood of thousands and the destruction of countless countries.
Today, the media empire of the West has embarked on colonization by deceiving global public opinion and directing it, justifying all its absurd ideas and thoughts, and injecting them into other countries. This has created divisions among different nations under false pretexts of boycotting countries and attacking the property and lives of others. If this is not the result of sword and spear, then what is it? For twenty years in Afghanistan, people were killed and homes destroyed because of nation-building based on the Western model. If this is not a sword, then what is? England occupied India, and France destroyed Africa under the yoke of slavery. Everyone tried to bring something called democracy and freedom to the people of those lands and to make its seeds flourish. What was the result?
Therefore, both in the past and in the present, democracy has progressed in an unusual way, contrary to what is advertised. It has penetrated like a termite into the trunk of the tree of nations.
The Greek orator Isocrates advised the Macedonian king Philip on how to dominate Greece: “Promise freedom to the Ionian cities and spread the word of freedom in Asia; for when this word spread among the Greeks, our empire (Athens) and the empire of Sparta were defeated.” Freedom in that period meant that the nation was the ruler, and this is democracy. Isocrates’ advice has been put into practice today.
He added, “Spread the word of democracy among countries; because as a result, the countries will be divided and will never be able to form an empire, and only you will be the lord and ruler. Countries will follow you not only politically and economically but also culturally and civilizationally. Then the relationship between the master and the servant will emerge: the powerful master and the subordinate servant, a modern gentleman and a backward servant. The West will also become the direction of the servants’ hopes and dreams. The criteria will be the same as the Western criteria. Any kind of trampling on democracy in the country of the servants will lead to their questions and dissatisfaction.” Look at democracy, sir, and see how it is.
Democracy is the newest and shortest way to turn us into followers and them into lords and rulers. Their old and failed way was to make us Christians; it didn’t matter if we were pious Christians or not because the goal was to eliminate the biggest obstacle: the difference between our religion and theirs against their domination over us. It is better if you are a bad Christian, commit adultery, take usury, lie, drink alcohol, etc., former or them; because a corrupt and hedonistic person is more obedient and soon becomes a servant and a slave.
Apart from Christianizing the people, the new occupier takes a shortcut and an easier way. Minimizing and belittling your difference with us brings it to the level of an intellectual difference. Being a Muslim and a democrat at the same time is a normal issue.
This is the beginning of the work, and its result and end is the acquisition of all the values of the West and the loss of inner personality. Then, it will be easy to make us Christians, and after that, instead of jihad, freedom, and courage, we will be ready to slap the left side of our face for every slap on the right side of our face. If this is the case, why doesn’t America spread democracy, and why doesn’t it pull out the sword from its sheath at the necessary time and place to spread democracy? When democracy is a sign of the captivity and servitude of my nation and is a step towards suffocating this nation, don’t I have the right to reject it? I reject any religion that has such a result, and what is the place for a religion that is earthly and full of defects?
The old thinking of the past was that democracy does not work for backward nations, and this statement became an excuse for occupation and the development of these backward nations. Today’s thinking after World War II is that democracy should be established in all countries. For the same reasons as before, maybe tomorrow they will say that democracy does not work for the West in any way, but this issue will become an excuse for occupation and imposing itself on other countries. A sketch and a framework are the same thing. This is a clear issue, and most people are aware of it, but they are the same people who have been deceived by form and appearance. The sword of military attack, economic sanctions, diplomacy, etc., has fallen on the person who has not been deceived and has his own thinking, point of view, and personality.
The sword of democracy is so sharp and winning that it is not compatible with democracy itself, just as the sword of the occupiers in the past was incompatible and inconsistent with the Gospel to the bone. But just as it was necessary for the sword of the bearers of the Gospel to be sharp and victorious, it is necessary for the sword of the leaders of democracy to be sharp and victorious. The law of survival for a powerful person or government, and to remain in the seat of power, requires this policy and method.
