Indians believed that death and cholera, hell and fire, poison and snakes are better than women. In the decrees of “Manushaster” it is stated: “A woman does not have any authority in her life.” If she is a virgin, her authority is in the hands of her father, and if she is in her husband’s house, her authority is in the hands of her husband, and if she is a widow, her authority is in the hands of her husband’s children, and she should never marry after her husband’s death.
The Greeks believed: “A woman is a commodity that should be exposed to buying and selling.” It is said in the Torah: “A woman is more bitter than death.” A magnificent gathering of priests convened in Rome, the headquarters of the Pope, to discuss the status of women, and they finally came to the conclusion that: “A woman is a creature without a soul, so she is useless in the afterlife.”
The attitude of the Arabs before Islam towards women is also quite clear, we only mention a part of it that was stated in the Qur’an: Allah Almighty says: «وَ إِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُمْ بِالْأُنْثَى ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُ مُسْوَداً وَ هُوَ كَظِيم * يَتَوَارَى مِنَ الْقَوْمِ مِنْ سُوء ما بُشِّرَ بِهِ أَيُمْسِكُهُ عَلَى هُوْنَ أَمْ يَدُسُّهُ فِي التَّرَابِ أَلَا سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُون».
Translation: “And when one of them was given the good news of the birth of a daughter, (his face would change so much with sadness that) his face would turn black and be filled with anger, rage, sadness, and grief, because of (his) people and tribe This bad news that was given to him, he hid himself and (bewildered and surprised said to himself:) Should he accept this disgrace and keep the girl or should he bury her alive under the soil? Han! What a bad judgment they made.”

After a long discussion, they finally came to the conclusion that a woman is a human being; But it was created to serve men. Finally, the French proved that the woman was human, which was doubtful.
In 1938, the French passed a law that repealed their previous laws that prohibited women from investing and opening bank accounts, and for the first time in history, women in France were allowed to open bank accounts for themselves. do In England, women were not considered British citizens until 1850.
