Da’wah’s Necessity and Method in the Modern World (1st Part)
    Abstract
One of the factors contributing to the weakness and stagnation of the Da’wah (calling) movement is the lack of familiarity among some trainers and callers with the guidelines, effective methods, and strategies that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used in his efforts toward Da’wah and reform. Therefore, it is essential for trainers and callers to learn the reformative techniques employed by the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his approach to dealing with wrongdoers and sinners, adapting these methods to meet the requirements of contemporary society. In this regard, they should strive to follow the example of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Allah willing, this will lead to significant successes in the realms of calling and reforming.
Keywords: invitation, present time, importance, method.
Throughout human history, whenever corruption became common and people neglected Allah and the thought of the hereafter was forgotten, Allah (S.W.T) sent a prophet to wake them up and make them realize their Lord, and it was with the prophet’s call that the dust of polytheism, innovations, superstitions and Denials were removed. If some people didn’t accept the call due to stubbornness and ignorance, they would be fought with Jihad. Dawah and Jihad are two important tools that organize and unite the Ummah under the banner of Islam.
If we look at today’s Islamic societies, we will realize that, unfortunately, corruption is rampant in it; non-Islamic countries also have their place. The personal, social, moral, financial and administrative corruptions that occur in today’s governments have really brought humanity to ruin. Considering this situation, there is a strong need for Islamic da’wah in today’s societies.
The only way to overcome corruption, prostitution, and vices and to save humanity from the mire of all this misguidance and corruption is through Da’wah. It is necessary to make people aware of the harms and disadvantages of vices and corruption, and to tell the benefits and Advantages of righteous and religious deeds so that they hate vices and sins and desire good deeds. If this healing medicine prescribed for the Ummah is not used, the Ummah will soon fall into a terrible abyss and destroy itself. Therefore, the preachers of religion must stand up, strive and save humanity to bring the sinking ship of humanity to the shore and have mercy on these poor people.
Today, it is more important than ever to call on many issues that have been addressed by people and experts in different techniques. Hazrat Maulana Mufti Muhammad Taqi Osmani, may Allah protect him, says: “Whenever the servant of Allah puts his ego under his feet and does not consider himself as anything and invites people for the sake of Allah, so that the people of the world can be sure that he does not pay attention to their wealth and whatever else, he means to For the sake of Allah’s pleasure, he says, Undoubtedly, this kind of speech and invitation will have a positive effect. In fact, in preaching and guidance gatherings, sincere people like Hazrat Shah Ismail called thousands of people to repent and return to the right path.
Hazrat Mufti Muhammad Shafi, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates from Allamah Shabir Ahmad Osmani, may Allah have mercy on him, that if you speak the truth in the right way and with the right intention, it will be useful and effective and will not cause any harm.
Therefore, three things are very important in invitation: 1. The speech should be correct; 2. The intention should be correct; 3. The way and method should be correct.
