    Colonialism (Part 34)

    Goals and ideals of colonialism

After discussing the types and kinds of colonialism and what problems and troubles have come to the colonized countries, which are mostly Muslim, in the form of old and new colonialism, now we will examine and evaluate the goals and ideals that the colonialists are looking for.
In fact, old and new colonialism have countless goals and perspectives, some of which can be mentioned as follows:
    1. Expanding its political influence in the colonized countries; Undoubtedly, the major and fundamental goal of the colonizers is to gain political power and influence the ruling system, and in this way, to impose themselves on the colonized nations. Even today, the same issue can be clearly understood in intellectually colonized countries. All legislations, domestic and foreign policies, national and customary values, international relations, etc. are based on the thoughts and ideas of the colonists.
    2. Destroying Islamic teachings from among Muslims and creating universities and educational centers according to their colonial and western beliefs and ideas; In such a way that the colonialists, by planning and designing detailed and long-term plans, tried to eradicate religious teachings and alienate the new generation of Muslims from religious teachings and established important and effective scientific centers in Islamic societies according to their opinion and idea.
    3. Education of the Islamic generation based on the teachings and thoughts of the West; This case is the result and effect of the previous case; Because when the control of educational centers and their intellectual direction is in the hands of Westerners, naturally Muslim students will also be influenced by them and will be educated according to their models.
    4. Creating division and Schism among Muslims and dividing people into two groups for and against colonialism; In such a way that the colonialists introduce their supporters as enlightened, forward-thinking and educated people and consider following them as synonymous with progress and civilization. These people have all the media at their disposal, and they make extensive propaganda for the expansion and inclusiveness of colonialism and its thought, but at the same time, the colonialists introduce their opponents as short-minded, fundamentalist, backward and alien to science and technology, and they are portrayed in various media. defamed and a group is also sent to prison, torture and even martyrdom.
    5. Eradicating the hijab and Islamic chastity among Muslim women and creating disobedience among the sections of the society; This goal is one of the basic ideals of the colonists, and to achieve it, they spend a lot of money. Because women have a special role and place in the Islamic society and their chastity and modesty are among the principles and characteristics of the Islamic society, but if they are deprived of this noble gem and are removed from the home which is their main residence, corruption and disobedience will become common. Society will be corrupted.
    6. Creating an economic gap among Islamic countries and spreading poverty among Muslims; Even today, most of the poverty in the world is between Muslims and Islamic countries; Because the colonialist countries consider their success in the fact that the Islamic countries need them and help them to provide their basic needs and as a result, in exchange for meeting their needs, they accept the colonizers’ colonial plans.
    7. To plunder the natural resources and wealth of Islamic lands and use them for the growth and development of the colonizing countries; Colonialists have a deep and detailed look at the God-given and national capitals of Islamic countries, and it has been proven many times that the important financial and underground resources of the colonized countries have been discovered and extracted by the colonialists and have been spent and consumed in the direction of their desires.
    8. Destroying Islamic culture among Muslim youth; Young people are a sensitive and important segment of the Islamic society and have an influential role in the national and regional equations, and the younger a nation is, the more efficient and successful it will be. The colonialists, understanding this issue, had a close look at attracting and attracting young people. And they have deep plans and programs to deviate their thinking and alienate them with religious and Islamic thoughts and teachings.
    9. Killing and banishing truth scholars and trying to discredit them; The colonialists have always tried to destroy intellectuals and knowledgeable Muslim scholars who are against colonialism and their domination over the colonized countries and make them infamous and dishonorable in the society. In this way, they have used various tactics and every now and then by imprisoning them, deporting them or killing them, they have paved their way to achieve their colonial goals.
    9. Eliminating the language and culture of the colonized country and replacing it with the language and spoken culture of the colonizing country; Colonizing countries make excessive efforts to destroy the language of the colonized country and examine and change all the principles and foundations of speech and writing of the colonized country, this makes the new generations alien from their original and national language and way of speaking.
These were a brief part of the goals of the colonizing countries of colonization and domination over the colonized countries, and in fact, the goals and ideals of the colonizers are many and countless, which can be researched and analyzed in the scientific and research books and writings of Islamic writers and intellectuals.
