Sayings of the predecessors and successors about condemning and fighting with the Khawarij
13. The thirteenth saying: قال الإمام ابي الحسن بن القطان: «وأجمعوا على ذم سائر أهل البدع منهم، وهم الروافض، والخوارج، والمرجئة، وترك الاختلاط بهم» وقال: «وأجمعوا على أن قتال الخارجين حلال إذا سفكوا الدماء وأباحوا الحرام». (Imam Ibn Qattan says: And they agreed upon the rest of the people of innovation among them, and they are Rawafiz, Khawarij, and Morjaeh, and they also agreed to leave one place and sit together with them.) And he also said: (They agreed on the halal of fighting with (Foreigners (Khawarij) when they shed blood unjustly and consider the forbidden lawful.)
14. The fourteenth saying: قال شيخ الإسلام إبن تيمية: «وأهل السنة ولله الحمد متفقون على أنهم مبتدعة ضالون، وأنه يجب قتالهم بالنصوص الصحيحة، وأن أميرالمؤمنين علياً كان من أفضل أعماله قتاله للخوارج، وقد اتفق الصحابة على قتالهم» (Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah says: And the people of the Sunnah, may Allah be praised, agree that they (Khawarij) are innovators and misguided, and according to the correct texts, it is obligatory to fight with them, and the best action of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, was to fight with the Khawarij, and indeed the Companions they had to fight with them.)
15. The fifteenth Saying: قال: «وما روي من أنهم «شر قتلى تحت أديم السماء وخیر قتيل من قتلوه» فإنهم كانوا مجتهدين في قتل كل مسلم لم يوافقهم، مستحلين لدماء المسلمين وأموالهم وقتل أولادهم مكفرين لهم، وكانوا متدينين بذلك لعظم جهلهم وبدعتهم المضلة» (And what has been narrated about them: “(Khawarij) is the worst of the slain under the roof of the sky, and the best of the slain is that they kill.” So, they were mujtahids against killing Muslims who did not agree with them. Blood, property and killing of the children of Muslims they considered it halal, and they excommunicated their children and killed them, and used it to bring them closer (they considered it to be close to Allah) because of their great ignorance and misleading heresies.
16. The sixteenth saying: قال شيخ الإسلام إبن تيمية: «وهؤلاء (يعني الخوارج) أمر النبي بقتالهم؛ لأن معهم ديناً فاسداً لا يصلح به دنيا ولا آخرة»، «لا ريب أن الجهاد والقيام على من خالف الرسل، من أفضل الأعمال التي أمرنا الله أن نتقرب بها إليه، لكن يجب أن يعرف الجهاد الشرعي الذي أمر الله به ورسوله من الجهاد البدعي، وأهل الضلال الذين يجاهدون في طاعة الشيطان وهم يظنون أنهم مجاهدون في طاعة الرحمن، كالخوارج ونحوهم الذين يجاهدون في أهل الاسلام» (Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: The Prophet, PBUH, ordered to fight against the Khawarij, because with them there is a corrupt religion that neither this world nor the hereafter will be made right with it.) (And undoubtedly that jihad and rebellion against those who disobeyed the Messengers are among the best deeds. which Allah has commanded us to approach; but the Islamic Jihad that Allah Almighty has commanded must be distinguished from the heretical Jihad, and those who go astray fight in obedience to Satan, while they think that they are fighting in obedience to Allah the Most Merciful; Like the Khawarij and their ilk who fight against the Muslims)
17. The seventeenth saying: قال ابن رجب رحمهالله مبينا ثبوت الأحاديث الواردة في ذم الخوارج: «وقد صح عن النبي الأمر بقتال الخوارج وقتلهم، وقد اختلف العلماء في حكمهم فمنهم من قال: هم كفار فيكون قتلهم لكفرهم، ومنهم من قال: إنها يقتلون لفسادهم في الأرض بسفك دماء المسلمين وتكفيرهم لهم». (Ibn Rajab, may Allah have mercy on him, in explaining the confirmation of the hadiths mentioned in the condemnation of the Kharijites, says: “The command to kill and destroy the Khawarij was correctly narrated from the Prophet, and the scholars differed in their verdict, some of them said: they are disbelievers, so kill them.” It is because of their disbelief, and they are among those who said: they will be killed due to their corruption in the earth by shedding the blood of Muslims and declaring them infidels.)
18. The eighteenth promise: قال الحجاوي المقدسي: «الخوارج الذين يكفرون بالذنب، ويكفرون أهل الحق، وعثمان، وعلياً، وطلحة، والزبير، وكثيراً من الصحابة، ويستحلون دماء المسلمين وأموالهم إلا من خرج معهم، فهم فسقة، يجوز قتلهم ابتداء والإجهاز على جريحهم» (Khawarij are those who takfir the perpetrators of major sins, and they takfir the people of truth, Usman, Ali, Talha, Zubair, and many of the Companions, and they consider the blood and property of Muslims as halal for themselves, except for those who went out with them. So, they are transgressors. are, it is permissible to start killing them and ending their wounded.)
19. The nineteenth saying: Imam Ajori, may Allah have mercy on him, says the following in his book: «لَمْ يَخْتَلِفِ الْعُلَمَاءُ قَدِيمًا وَحَدِيثًا أَنَّ الْخَوَارِجَ قَوْمُ سُوءٍ عُصَاةٌ لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى وَلِرَسُولِهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَإِنْ صَلَّوْا وَصَامُوا، وَاجْتَهَدُوا فِي الْعِبَادَةِ، فَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِنَافِعٍ لَهُمْ، نَعَمْ, وَيُظْهِرُونَ الْأَمْرَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَالنَّهْيِ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ، وَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِنَافِعٍ لَهُمْ؛ لِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ يَتَأَوَّلُونَ الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى مَا يَهْوُونَ، وَيُمَوِّهُونَ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَقَدْ حَذَّرَنَا اللَّهُ تَعَالَى مِنْهُمْ، وَحَذَّرَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَحَذَّرَنَاهُمُ الْخُلَفَاءُ الرَّاشِدُونَ بَعْدَهُ، وَحَذَّرَنَاهُمُ الصَّحَابَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ، وَالْخَوَارِجُ هُمُ الشُّرَاةُ الْأَنْجَاسُ الْأَرْجَاسُ، وَمَنْ كَانَ عَلَى مَذْهَبِهِمْ مِنْ سَائِرِ الْخَوَارِجِ يَتَوَارَثُونَ هَذَا الْمَذْهَبَ قَدِيمًا وَحَدِيثًا، وَيَخْرُجُونَ عَلَى الْأَئِمَّةِ وَالْأُمَرَاءِ وَيَسْتَحِلُّونَ قَتْلَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، فَأَوَّلُ قَرْنٍ طَلَعَ مِنْهُمْ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: هُوَ رَجُلٌ طَعَنَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَهُوَ يَقْسِمُ الْغَنَائِمَ، فَقَالَ: اعْدِلْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ، فَمَا أَرَاكَ تَعْدِلُ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَيْلَكَ، فَمَنْ يَعْدِلُ إِذَا لَمْ أَكُنْ أَعْدِلُ؟» فَأَرَادَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَتْلَهُ، فَمَنَعَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ قَتْلِهِ وَأَخْبَرَ: «أَنَّ هَذَا وَأَصْحَابًا لَهُ يَحْقِرُ أَحَدُكُمْ صَلَاتَهُ مَعَ صَلَاتِهِ وَصِيَامَهُ مَعَ صِيَامِهِ، يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الدِّينِ» وَأَمَرَ فِي غَيْرِ حَدِيثٍ بِقِتَالِهِمْ، وَبَيَّنَ فَضْلَ مَنْ قَتَلَهُمْ أَوْ قَتَلُوهُ» (The scholars of the past and present do not disagree that the “Khawarij” are a bad people and disobedient to Allah and His Messenger; even if they pray, fast, and work hard in worship, these (actions and functions) will not benefit them. Yes, and they put what is good and what is bad for them, but this is not beneficial for them, because they interpret the Qur’an in any way they want, and they keep our religion hide from Muslims, Allah kept us safe from them and his Prophet and the rightly caliphs after him and the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, and all those who followed them in good faith, warned us against that misguided group. They have inherited the corrupt religion from the past and the present and they have left the imams and rulers and considered the killing of Muslims as halal. The first group of them raised up when Prophet (PBUH) was busy in dividing the booties. A Man said to Prophet (PBUH) that do justice in dividing the booties, the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: “Woe to you, if I do not do justice, then who will do justice?” Omar wanted to kill him. The Messenger of Allah, PBUH, forbade him and informed him: “This person and the companions he will have, your prayer will be insignificant compared to their prayer and your fasting compared to their fasting, and they will separate from the religion.” In many hadiths, the order to fight against them has been given, and the virtues of those who kill them or are killed by them have also been stated.)
It is understood from the words of elders and ancestors of the nation and there is no doubt that this misguided sect; Rebels, obligatory to kill, are the cause of sedition and misguidance, and wherever they step, and their horns are found, nothing but crime, fighting and sedition, and no good will befall the Muslims.
