Allamah Syed Abul Hasan Nadwi (R.H) (Part 6)
Conducting the Sirat-Ul-Nabi seminar on childhood
Hazrat Syed Nadwi’s profound love for the Prophet (PBUH) had enriched his heart since his childhood, even when he could not distinguish between a library and other shops, he exhibited a unique passion and interest for biographical (Sirat-Ul-Nabi) books.
When the Almighty Allah considers something beneficial for his servant, he guides him toward it and ensures his success; Similarly, in the blessed life of Hazrat Imam Nadwi, Allah had bestowed upon him rich and hidden talents that would gradually manifest over time.
    The era of learning science
Undoubtedly, the first step in the progress of a human being and reaching the highest level of grace and perfection is to have teachers whose skills and expertise in that field are combined with his soul and spirit and who have the idea of transferring it to the budding mind of the student, as well as of such spirituality. And he should have the compassion to attract the student and fill him with enthusiasm and interest. Almighty Allah gave Imam Syed Abul Hasan Nadwi the opportunity to use the presence of such precious teachers and to be raised by such a skilled teacher in the first stage of his education.
    learning hadith
Hazrat Maulana Nadwi had a great passion and interest in Hadith Sharif, and since Prophetic Hadith is the second fundamental source of Islam after the Holy Quran, it has special importance and grace. Therefore, he set his determination and effort to learn it, which also achieved favorable results.
The great Sheikh and Muhaddith, Haider Hasan Khan Tunki, who was considered one of the outstanding scholars of Hadith and the history of men in that era, was in Dar al-Uloom Nadwat-al- Ulama, and Maulana Muhaddith al-Asr Sheikh Abdul Rashid Nomani, may Allah have mercy on him, said about him: He had the field of men’s science, hadith, and history, and compiled the encyclopedia of al-musnafin, which was more than 60 units, and he had a special skill in this field. Allamah Nadwi became a student of such a precious teacher and in 1929 he started the lessons of hadith and read Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan al-Tirmizi completely with him and also learned a part of Tafsir Beidawi from him. He also used them in other sciences until after two full years, he obtained the document and permission of the hadith from him.
    A trip to Deoband University
Although Hazrat Allamah Nadwi tried hard to learn the science of hadith and with his extraordinary talent, he was able to have a broad hand in this field. Despite this, his intense thirst for this noble art was not quenched and he left for the great Deoband University, which was considered the most brilliant base of the science of religion and hadith.
Darul Uloom Deoband, which had left behind the greatest achievements since its establishment until then, was considered the source of the bounty of religious sciences, and due to the comprehensiveness and the wide role played by the professors at that university in every field, it was desired by those who are thirsty for knowledge. It was different Islamic countries. At that time, Hazrat Maulana Syed Hussain Ahmad Madani was in charge of the high lessons of Hadith, which had reached the peak of fame.
Allamah Nadwi also went to Deoband to benefit from this source of grace and to use this master and capable personality in the field of hadith and learned Sahih Bukhari and Sunan Tirmizi from him. Maulana Hussain Ahmad Madani’s assembly was a dignified and quiet assembly and he debated with extraordinary ability and power. In addition to these two books, we can count the special privileges of Hazrat Allamah Nadwi as one of two great and renowned universities (Dar al-Uloom Nadwat al-Ulama and Darul Uloom Deoband) was fruitful, and used both sources of knowledges, and this caused Hazrat Maulana to become fully aware of the peculiarities and characteristics of these two centers of religion.
