Regarding the mission of Jesus, in the Holy Qur’an, Almighty Allah says: «قَالَ عِیسَى ابْنُ مَرْیمَ یا بَنِیإِسْرَائِیلَ إِنِّی رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَیكُمْ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَینَ یدَی مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَمُبَشِّرًا بِرَسُولٍ یأْتِی مِنْ بَعْدِی اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ بِالْبَینَاتِ قَالُوا هَذَا سِحْرٌ مُبِینٌ» Jesus’ son of Maryam said: O Bani Israel! It is true that I am Allah’s messenger to you while I confirm the Torah that came before me and I give good news of a prophet who comes after me and his name is Ahmad; [But] when [Jesus] came to them with clear miracles and definite proofs, they said: This is obvious magic.
In this verse, it is stated that Jesus, was sent as the prophet of the Bani Israel; But Jesus, addressed them as “Ya Bani Israel” and did not use ” Oh my people ” like Moses, because he did not have a father and had no relationship with them to be considered his people.
Since Jesus, confirmed the Torah and gave the good news of the arrival of the Sealed Prophet named Ahmad, as mentioned in the Torah, and his message did not contradict the Torah, which in itself shows that his religion supported all the prophets of the past and the future. The Jews had to believe in him; But despite the fact that he spoke in the cradle and was approved by Allah with various miracles, they did not believe in him; Rather, they denied him and tried to kill him.
In this regard, Almighty Allah says: «عَلَى آَثَارِهِمْ بِعِیسَى ابْنِ مَرْیمَ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَینَ یدَیهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَآَتَینَاهُ الْإِنْجِیلَ فِیهِ هُدًى وَنُورٌ وَمُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَینَ یدَیهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَهُدًى وَمَوْعِظَةً لِلْمُتَّقِینَ» “And after them (the previous prophets who dictated the Torah) We sent Jesus, the son of Maryam, in their way, who confirmed the Torah that was sent before him [by his words and deeds] and We gave him the Book of the Bible, which in it is guidance and light [that saves them from going astray in their vision and behavior] and it confirms the Torah that was revealed before it, and it is guidance and admonition for the pious.”
Jesus was one of the prophets of Bani Israel, and his law was the Torah. In their Bibles, Christian’s quote Jesus, that he did not come to violate the law of the Torah; Rather, he had come to complete it and, by Allah’s will, to add spiritual rules, customs, and instructions to it.
Allah’s blessings on Jesus and his mother and his miracles
Remember my blessing that I bestowed upon you and your mother; When I strengthened you through Gabriel [and as a result of divine approval as a child] you spoke to people in the cradle and in middle age [you also spoke to them as a prophet] And [remember] when I taught you the book (reading and writing) and true knowledge, the Torah and the Bible, and when at my command you made something from clay in the shape of a bird and blew into it, and at my command became a (living) bird. and you used to heal the blind from birth and suffering from Pesi’s (vitiligo) disease at my command and [remember] the time when you brought the dead [to life from the grave] at my command, and when I forbade the Bani Israel from you (I did not allow them to kill or behead you), when you performed miracles for them. And their disbelievers say: These cannot be anything other than obvious magic [and are not of the type of verses brought by Moses] and [remember] when [the people of Bani Israel rejected you] I inspired the apostles to believe in me and my messenger (Jesus). They [accepted] and said: We have believed, and bear witness that we submit [to your orders].”
“Torah” means light and brightness, and it is taken from “Vari al-Zand”, which means the fire came out of the fire pit.
The word Injil (Bible) is also derived from “Najl” which means the original and its plural is “Enajil” and because the book of the Injil (Bible) is the basis of science and wisdom, it is named by this name. Also, some people believe that the word “Injil” is derived from “Najaltu al-Shi’i” which means I extracted it; Because knowledge and wisdom are extracted through the Injil; The child was called “Najl” because it was found from its origin (his father), maybe the word “Injil” is a foreign word that has no example in the Arabic language.
The meaning of Ro-hul-quds (Holy Spirit) is the angel of revelation, Gabriel, through whom Allah approves his prophets, in such a way that through him he teaches them and strengthens them in cases where they suffer from human weakness.
“Al-Hawariun” is the plural of Hawari, and the Hawari of human is the one who has his love in his heart.
