    Mu’tazila (39th part)
    Mafzool (Favorite) Imamate
According to the Mu’tazila, the imamate of the mafzool is correct along with the presence of the virtuous, and Zaidiyyah and most of the Mu’tazila say: It is true that there is such a person among the subjects who is better than the imam, and they allow the imam to be a mafzool. Fazel’s presence in his subjects should lead him to rule, and some people have also said: Imam should be the best among people.
Is the imam of the favorite with the existence of Fazel correct or not? In this case, there are different opinions and ideas; There is a group of Mu’tazila who say that the Imamate of Mafzool is correct with the presence of Fazel, among them Bashr bin Mu’tamar[210 AH, or 219 AHS.] and many of the general Mu’tazila followed them. Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was superior, and the other three righteous caliphs were lower than him in terms of grace and status.
The second group has denied this case and they say that the Imamate of Mafzool is not right despite the presence of Fazel, and those who agree with this opinion are: “Alaf” [235 AH or 236 AH] “Nizam” [231 AH] Zarar and Hafs Al Fard, this group They believe that Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique, may Allah be pleased with him, was the best of people after the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
There are different views and opinions of the Sunnis regarding the preferred Imamate: scholars say that in the Imamate, the authority belongs to the one who is right for the situation; Therefore, if he is qualified for the position, the imam of the favorite is valid because of his courage, abundance of knowledge, and the friendship of the people with him, or because of the fear of chaos and sedition, if the best one takes precedence; This is the opinion of Ahl al-Sunnah and Jama’ah, according to them Imamate is the best. unless there is a fear of sedition if Afzal comes first; Therefore, Imamate Mafzool is also correct.
Reminder: As stated before, the issue of imamate and caliphate is one of the most important and different issues between groups and differences, and in this section we tried to fully research and examine the issues related to this issue and present them in this section; But since the scope of this discussion was very wide and extensive, we could not raise all its issues here, and in the next part of this article, Allah willing, we will try to address the important issues, such as whether it is necessary for the Imam to be from the Quraysh and the proof of the caliphate of the rightly caliphs and Let’s examine…
