Children of Imam Abu Hanifa
Nothing is known about the history of the children of Imam Abu Hanifah, may Allah have mercy on him. It is only clear that he had no other children, except for Hammad, at the time of his death. When Hammad grew up, he completed his academic studies under his respected father. Hammad was the successor of his father due to his knowledge, grace, piety, and devotion.
Among the famous students of Abu Hanifa, the following people can be mentioned:
1. Zafar bin Al-Zuhail, who died in 158 AHS.
2. Abu Yusuf Yaqub bin Ibrahim Al-Ansari, who died in 182 AHS.
3. Muhammad bin Al-Hassan Al-Shibani, who died in 189 AHS.
4. Dawood Al-Tai.
5. Asad bin Umar.
6. Al-Hassan bin Ziyad Al-Llu’ui al-Kufi, who died in 204 AHS.

1. Fiqh Akbar.
2. Al-Aalim Wal Muta’lem.

Attributes of Imam Abu Hanifah, (may Allah have mercy on him)
He was medium height, medium size; In addition to his Beautifull personality, he also had a good face; His words were very sweet, and his voice was loud and clear; Although the subject was complicated, he expressed it with utmost clarity and eloquence.
The sayings of the elders about Imam Azam, (may Allah have mercy on him)
Imam Abu Dawud says: “Imam Abu Hanifah was an Imam and leader.”
Imam Zahabi says: “Imam Abu Hanifa was one of the religious scholars and a great scholar of Iraq.”
Imam Waqi’ bin Jarrah says: “Imam Abu Hanifah was a trust among the Ummah.”
Yahya bin Mu’in says: “Abu Hanifah is trustworthy.”
Ali Al-Mudini says: “Imam Abu Hanifah is reliable and trustworthy, and there is no defect in him.”
Sufyan Sori says: “Abu Hanifa was one of the wisest people”.
Abdullah bin Mubarak says: “I have not seen anyone in jurisprudence like Abu Hanifah.”
Imam Ibn Taymiyyah says: “Abu Hanifah, Malik, Shafi’i, Ahmad and Uza’i are among the Imams of the religion.”
Makki bin Ibrahim says: “Imam Abu Hanifa was the most knowledgeable of his time.”
Sufyan Ibn Uyaina says: “During the time of Abu Hanifa, there was no one superior, more pious, and wiser than him in Kufa.”
Fazil bin Ayyaz says: “Abu Hanifah was a jurist who had a good reputation in jurisprudence.”
Ibn Khaldoun says: “Imam Abu Hanifa’s position in jurisprudence is so high and high that nothing like it has been seen.”
Ibn Hajar Asqalani says: “Imam Abu Hanifah was a scholar and a famous scholar”.
Yazid bin Harun says: “Abu Hanifah was the most knowledgeable person in jurisprudence.”
Ibn Kasir says: “Abu Hanifah, Iraqi jurist, was one of the Imams of Islam and famous leaders.”
Imam Siyuti says: “I envy two people in Kufa, Abu Hanifa in his knowledge and jurisprudence and Hassan bin Saleh in his asceticism and piety.”
Ismail Muhammad bin Jarrah Shafi’i says: “Abu Hanifah was the leader of the imams and the guide of the Ummah, and he was the imam of the mujtahids and the most knowledgeable of the people about the Qur’an and the Sunnah.”
Imam Jazri says: “Abu Hanifa was a scholar, worker, ascetic, religious and pious”.
Imam Muammar says: “Abu Hanifah had infinite skill in jurisprudence and I have not seen anyone more skilled in jurisprudence than him.”
Imam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, says: “The belief of Imam Abu Hanifa, may Allah have mercy on him, in monotheism and predestination, was exactly in agreement with the belief of Salaf Salih, the Qur’an, and the Sunnah, and in matters of divine names and attributes, his belief is the belief of the Sunnah, Companions, and followers, and he said: The Qur’an is the word of Allah; He is not created and Allah will be seen in the hereafter.
Tajuddin Sabaki says: “Abu Hanifa’s jurisprudence is extremely precise.”
Abu Bakr bin Ayyash says: “Abu Hanifah was the best of all in his era.”
Imam Khoribi says: “Muslims should continuously pray for Abu Hanifa, who served Muslims in the science of hadith and jurisprudence.
