The role of the holy Qur’an in the structure of the life of hearts and the food of souls
In the context of this issue, we will talk a little about the condition of the elders of the predecessors who actually lived with the Qur’an and made it a practical model in all aspects of their lives, yes! The elders of the predecessors, besides those who kept it in their chests, when the divine verses were recited to them, their faith was increased and they moved, Allah Almighty says: “«وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُهُ زَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَاناً»”; Translation: “And when His verses are recited to them, it increases their faith.” (Al-Anfal, V2)
The famous Da’watist Nazir Muhammad Maktabi writes in his book “Sayhat fi Afaq Da’wah to Allah”: “When our predecessors came to a verse in which there was a mention of Paradise, they wept because they were so happy, when they came to a verse in which a mention from hell was made.” They were shouting loudly, as if they felt the terrible sound of hell in their ears.
It has been reported that Umar bin Abdul Aziz, may Allah have mercy on him, got up one night to pray the Tahajjud prayer, recited Surah Al-Lail, when he heard the verse: «فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَاراً تَلَظَّى» , The crying overwhelmed him so much that his voice stopped and he could not recite this verse, he started again from the beginning, and when he reached this verse, the crying overwhelmed him so much that he could not recite it, this situation continued in the same way, until he left this surah and started another surah.
The holy Qur’an Introduces man as a creature that has dignity and great value in the sight of Allah; Allah made the body of Adam with His own hands and breathed His spirit into him, made him His successor on earth and entrusted the same responsibility to his children and they were given the position and dignity that the angels expected; But because they were not created for this purpose, it was not given to them; Rather, it was Adam and his children who had the ability to do so, those who have conquered everything in the universe, on the earth and in the sky, Allah Almighty says:«وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ وَحَمَلْنَاهُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَاهُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِيلاً»”; Translation: “We have honored the human beings [by giving them intellect, will, power of thought, speech and writing, upright posture, etc.] and we have carried them on land and sea [on various vehicles] and fed them with pure and delicious things. And we have given them complete superiority over many of Our creations” (Al-Asra, V70)
«وَسَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعاً مِّنْهُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لَّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ»” And what is in the heavens and what Is on the earth has made everyone in its area your slave, certainly in this [conquering various beings and turning the cycle of life for the benefit of humans] are important signs [on the power and kindness of Allah in It is the right of human beings], for those who think [and thoughtfully look at the things around them and at life itself] )”.Al-Jasiya, V13)
The role of the Quran in establishing human rights
In order to emphasize human dignity, the Holy Quran emphasized fourteen centuries ago; But today, this issue has become part of the human language, and some ignorant people consider it as one of the fruits of the culture and civilization of the modern world and call it human rights, while the real human rights are the achievement of the Quran. Regarding human rights in the field of freedom of speech, thought and thinking, the Quran has stated in many verses: “«قُلِ انظُرُواْ مَاذا فِي السَّمَاوَات وَالأرْضِ»” Translation: “say and see what is in the sky and the earth?” (Al-Yonos, V101)
“«قُلْ إِنَّمَا أعِظُکُمَ بِوَاحِدَةٍ أن تَقومُوا للهِ مَثْنَی وَفُرَادَی ثُمَّ تَتَفکَّرُوا مَا بِصَاحِبِکُم مِّن جِنَّةٍ»” Translation: “Say, I give you only one advice, and that is to sincerely stand up for Allah, two by two, or one by one [and revive sleeping thoughts]; Then [regarding Muhammad, whom you have lived with you for many years, use your thoughts and] think [so that his purity, trustworthiness, and physical and spiritual health are embodied in your memories, this] companion and roommate of yours [long] is not demon possessed and crazy.” (Al-Saba, V46)
Regarding the right to freedom of belief, the Qur’an says: “«لاَ إِکْرَاهَ فِي الدِّینِ»” Translation: “There is no compulsion or reluctance in religion.” (Al-Bagharah, V256) And he also says: “«أفَأنتَ تُکْرِهُ النَّاسَ حَتَّی یَکُونُواْ مُؤْمِنِینَ»” Translation: “Do you [O Prophet!] want to force people to believe? [This work is neither right nor beneficial, nor is it done by you]”. (Al-Saba, V99)
The Holy Quran says about the freedom of statement, expressing of opinion, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil: “«وَالمُؤْمِنُوْنَ وَالْمْؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضهُمْ أوْلیَاء بَعْضٍ یَأمُرُونَ بِالمَعْرُوفِ وَیَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ المُنکَرِ»” Translation: “Believing men and women are each other’s supporters, they enjoin the good and forbid the evil.” (Al-Tobah, V71)
Regarding racial equality among all human beings, Quran says:
«یَا أیُّها النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلقنَاکُم مِّن ذکَرٍ وَأنثَیَ وَجَعَلنَاکُمْ شعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا إِنَّ أکْرَمَکُمْ عِندَ اللهِ أتْقاکُمْ» Translation: “O people! Indeed, we created you from a single male and female and made you into nations and tribes so that you may know each other [and cooperate with each other], indeed, the most honorable of you in the sight of Allah is the most pious of you.”(Al-Hojarat, V13)
“«فٍإِذاَ نُفِخَ فِيُ الصُّورِ فَلَا أَنسَابَ بَیْنَهُمْ یَوْمَئذ وَلا یَتَسَاءلونَ»” Translation: “When the trumpet is blown, no lineage or race is a criterion of good and bad, and on that day, they will not take each other’s status.” (Al-Momenoun, V101)
