The crimes of the invaders in Afghanistan
During their 20-year occupation, the occupiers, led by the United States, committed various atrocities and war crimes in Afghanistan. From the killing of innocent people to the aimless and blind bombings and strikes on the general public and the public and national interests of the country.
Human rights organizations made the world aware of this issue by presenting their annual report and warning about various crimes that were committed in Afghanistan; But the occupiers, according to their long-standing habit of covering up the facts, denied any kind of crime and killing of innocents.
These crimes have been committed in different ways and in different days and years, and different countries have played a role in them.
In this topic, we will examine some of the crimes of the occupiers in the form of a handful of examples from mass.
American crimes
The crimes of the American occupying forces played a significant role in creating war crimes in Afghanistan, and they, as the leader of the invaders during the twenty-year occupation, brought to the fore horrific examples of murder and rape.
In fact, the war crimes committed by the aggressor forces, led by the occupying forces of the United States of America, are more than their details can be recorded in history or the reports of human rights organizations, and many of them remain buried and hidden in the corners of this land.
In this section, we mention examples of these cases according to the reports of reliable global media and human rights organizations.
In 2002. Two unarmed Afghan civilians were tortured and killed by US armed forces at the Bagram Detention Center. These two prisoners named “Habibullah” and “Delawar” were tied to the ceiling and beaten to death, which caused their death. The forensic investigation declared that the death of both prisoners was a homicide. Autopsies revealed severe trauma to both of the inmates’ legs, comparing the severity to being hit by a bus. In this case, fifteen American soldiers were accused of war crimes.
Delawar Yaqoubi was a Pashtun-speaking driver and farmer who was martyred along with Habibullah after being arrested by American soldiers and detained for only five days. About the story of the Delaware, a documentary film called “Taxi to Darkness” was made, which won the “Oscar Award”.
In June 2003. “David Passaro”, a CIA contractor and a former ranger of the United States Army, killed a prisoner in the American base located sixteen kilometers south of Asadabad in Kunar Province. Passaro was convicted of one count of felonious assault with a dangerous weapon and three counts of misdemeanor assault. He died on August 10, 2009. He was sentenced to 8 years and 4 months in prison.
In the summer of 2010. ISAF has accused five US soldiers of killing three Afghan civilians in Kandahar province and harvesting their body parts as war booty in what became known as the “Bakhsh Miwand Massacre”. Bakhsh Miwand Massacre, the killing of at least three Afghan civilians by a group of US Army soldiers in 2010. It was during the war in Afghanistan.
These aggressor soldiers called themselves “Killing Squad”. These people were members of a base in Miwand district of Kandahar province, Afghanistan. In March 2011. An American soldier named “Jeremy Marlock” was convicted of three counts of premeditated murder. He told the court that he assisted in the killing of civilian and unarmed native Afghans by staging the scene to simulate a war situation (including by placing a Ak47 weapon next to the dead bodies of the victims).
He was found guilty and was sentenced to 24 years in prison and dishonorably discharged from the military forces in front of testifying against other soldiers. Until March 2011. Eleven of the twelve people in this group were found guilty and sentenced.
In the magazine Spiegel, pictures of soldiers who took souvenir photos with the corpses were published. One of the crimes for which one of the soldiers’ named “Michel Wegnon” was convicted was taking and owning a piece of a human skull. After deliberately targeting an Afghan civilian, this criminal soldier placed a Kalashnikov weapon next to his body to justify killing him.
One of the civilians who died in this crime was Golmedin, a 15-year-old teenager from Kandahar. He was farming for his father in his village, LaMohammed Qala, and was unarmed when the Americans attacked. The aggressors killed him by throwing grenades and then shooting at him. After his martyrdom, the criminal soldiers stripped him naked and took pictures with his body and left his body half-naked on the ground.
The other person was “mrach Aqa”. The invading American soldiers found him with a thermal camera and then killed him and kept part of his skull as a trophy. In this case, Jeremy Marlock pleaded guilty to avoid execution, and the US military later claimed that Mr. Marlock was deaf or mentally disabled.
In the same area, a third person was hit by a bullet and Sergeant Gibbs shot and killed an unarmed man at close range.
On May 2, 2010, Sergeants Gibbs, Marlock, and Adam Winfield attacked Mullah Adhedad with a grenade and then shot him. This attack took place in front of the victim’s wife and children. He was martyred and then Gibbs cut off his finger and kept it as a booty.
