The Miracle in the Creation of the Camel
If a person reflects for only a few minutes on the creation of the camel, he clearly realizes that this animal is a masterpiece of divine design and creation. The Noble Qur’an specifically states: “أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلإِبِلِ كَيفَ خُلِقَت” Translation: “Do they not look at the camels—how they are created?” [1]

The Eye: Vision in Stormy Conditions
The camel has two layers of thick eyelashes which function like a double curtain, preventing sand and dust storms from entering the eyes.
The structure of its eye has a magnifying capability; it sees distant objects as nearer and small objects as larger.
This ability enables the animal to detect the movement of humans or other animals from far away.

The Ears, Nose, and Respiratory System
The camel can completely close its ears and nostrils so that during sandstorms not even a single particle enters its respiratory passages.
Such a precise mechanism is not observed in any other animal to this extent.

Legs and Movement on Sand
The camel has wide, spongy foot pads. This characteristic allows its weight to be distributed over a broader surface, preventing its feet from sinking into the sand.
This feature makes the camel an unparalleled vehicle of the desert.

The Mouth and the Ability to Eat Thorns
The camel’s lips are elongated, flexible, and thick. It can eat the toughest desert thorns without extending its tongue and without losing moisture. This is a vital advantage for survival in dry regions.

The Miracle of Water and Fat Storage
The camel is among the most astonishing creatures in managing water and food. In a single drinking session, it can consume dozens of liters of water—enough to fill a small pond. It can then continue for dozens of days, even several months, without drinking again.
In emergency conditions, it supplies the required moisture from its body tissues without its activity being disrupted.
The camel’s hump stores fat equal to approximately one-fifth of its body weight—a reserve that is consumed when food is unavailable.

Temperament and Emotional Relationship
Despite its size and strength, the camel becomes tame only when treated with gentleness and kindness. This itself is a sign of inner subtlety and divine guidance embedded within its psychological structure.
Conclusion: The Miracle of Creation and the Call to Reflection
Whether in the cow—as mentioned in the previous section—or in the camel, the structure of living beings is filled with complexities that no accident or blind process can adequately explain. This precise biological system, from the cell to the organ, consistently points to the wisdom and power of the One Creator.
Pure milk that emerges from between blood and digested matter, and an animal engineered to traverse deadly deserts—both are manifestations of divine signs.
These are invitations to reflection: if a person reflects, he becomes amazed; if he becomes amazed, he becomes humble; and if he becomes humble, he draws nearer to worship and gratitude.
If a human being reflects even slightly on these signs of creation, he reaches the truth that this world has been created with wisdom, and every creature bears a sign of a Knowing, Powerful, and Merciful Creator.
“ٱلَّذِينَ يَذكُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ قِيَٰما وَقُعُودا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِهِم وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلقِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلأَرضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقتَ هَٰذَا بَٰطِلا سُبحَٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ” Translation: “Those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect upon the creation of the heavens and the earth, saying: ‘Our Lord, you have not created this in vain. Glory be to You; so, protect us from the punishment of the Fire.’” [2]
