    Morjaeh sect (First part)
    Abstract
One of the old and famous Islamic sects is the Marjeeh sect, which appeared in the second half of the first century of Hijri. The religion of this sect was “Araja” which had two dimensions: political (religious) dimension and theological (philosophical) dimension. Its political dimension was related to those who fought with each other in their favor after the assassination of Hazrat Uthman (RA) and the accession of Hazrat Ali (RA) to the caliphate and Mu’awiyah (RA).
This sect did not support any of the two involved groups and did not make a ruling about them; rather, they delayed the verdict, so that God Almighty would judge on the Day of Resurrection. But its theological dimension was related to the definition of faith and Islam. Unlike the Khawarij and Mu’tazila and the supporters of the Muslim majority, they did not consider action as one of the components and pillars of faith and Islam; They knew the perpetrator of the crimes who did not repent as a believer and a Muslim and subject to Islamic rules, and they made him hope for God’s grace and forgiveness. Hassan bin Muhammad Hanafiyyah is known as the author of Arjaa sect.
Key words: Morjaeh, Faith, Destiny, Belief and Arjaa.
    Introduction
Misunderstanding religion and religious teachings and moving on self-made paths are the source of deviations and heavy damages to the body of this great religion. a topic that has happened many times in the history of religions, including Islam. Among these deviations is that individuals or groups make the criteria of salvation easy for themselves and difficult for others; Or by resorting to self-made criteria, they devalue important aspects of religion [such as practical aspects]. An example of this way of thinking can be found in the Marjaeans’ understanding and their definition of faith.
Marjee’s incorrect and untrue opinions, especially in religious practices and the practical aspect of religion had very adverse effects on the Islamic society. Especially today, when it can be said that it is most welcomed by some apparently religious groups, who consider only the intention and beliefs of the heart to be the factor of salvation; some of them have indirectly sought to revive these thoughts and promote them.
They look down on the implementation of the Sharia and actions and say: “Only the belief and attribution to Islam is sufficient, and the practice of the Sharia is not necessary; because if the heart is pure and the intention is right, every action is the right thing. These beliefs are promoting a prayer that is against the pure and true beliefs of the religion of Islam.
At this time, although there is no longer a name from the “Marjee” sect; But with the evidence, it can be admitted that some of Arjai’s thoughts have not disappeared and have been digested in the thoughts and beliefs of some Islamic sects. Since the goal of the enemies of Islam is to distance Muslims from the pure Islamic beliefs, and they want to weaken Islam and Muslims from a practical point of view, religious scholars and thinkers in every age must explain such absurd and false opinions and beliefs and make people informed and warned them from following such beliefs that are contrary to the truth.
During the time of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, there was a dispute between a group of Muslims, Jews and Christians in Medina; The Muslims said: Now that we have become Muslims, God has given us a special privilege, and any ugly thing we do will be forgiven. The Christians said: We are like this, and the Jews claimed the same thing. Then this verse was revealed: «لَيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلَا أَمَانِيِّ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ وَلَا يَجِدْ لَهُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا» Translation: “(Virtue and superiority) is not according to your wishes and the wishes of the People of the Book. Whoever does a bad deed will be punished, and he will not find anyone as his guardian and helper except God.”
In this verse, it is well shown that God Almighty’s criterion for evaluating people is their actions, not being a Muslim.
The developments after the death of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, as well as affecting other aspects of the nascent Islamic society, were also effective in the emergence of the “Marjee” sect. In the meantime, the orientations that emerged after the war of Jamal and Safin had a greater impact on the political and religious tendencies of Muslims.
The initial Marjee, who declared their existence by avoiding judging the Alevi and Ottomani fronts Eventually used a suitable verbal justification to confirm their silence, which is their specific definition of faith. This sect declared its existence after the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (may God be pleased with him) and the establishment of the Umawiya caliphate; which, ideologically, was at the opposite point of Khawarij; In other words, they believed that since it is impossible to know about the inner beliefs of people, anyone who claims to be a Muslim should be considered a Muslim and leave judgment about him to God.
In this article, we intend to introduce this sect and its literal and idiomatic meaning, origin, Morjee characters, as well as the role of faith and the place of action from the point of view of this sect.
