Why Have Muslims Fallen into Despair?! (Part 3)

The Crimes of These Uncultured Groups
Undoubtedly, these uncultured groups have committed numerous crimes. For example:
The Crime of Distorting and Falsifying History:
This is an abhorrent crime because they lied and distorted facts. They selectively chose weak and fabricated reports while rejecting authentic and credible ones. They focused only on the problems and calamities of history, even though every nation throughout time has faced trials and tribulations. They ignored the glories and positive achievements of Islamic civilization.
In the field of Islamic politics, they highlighted its flaws and neglected other aspects such as ethics, education, architecture, military affairs, economics, culture, literature, and other dimensions of Islamic civilization. They deliberately provided false justifications for historical events and criticized honorable figures from Islamic history. They presented such a distorted and disgraceful version of history that many became ashamed to study it, and many more deliberately turned away from it.
The majority of society became convinced that if the first generation of Muslims had such a chaotic history, then there is no hope for future generations. Indeed, this was a grave crime they committed!
The Crime of Agitating the Situation:
They erased the glorious past of Eastern Muslims, and now they seek to erase their present as well. Westernized preachers and media outlets must, according to their plot, cooperate in concealing the realities of the Muslim Ummah and in planting seeds of despair in people’s hearts. They must collaborate with Western media in this conspiracy: names must be changed, adherence to Islam must be portrayed as synonymous with terrorism; hijab must be depicted as a form of restriction, and the implementation of Shariah laws must be presented as backwardness and rigidity.
If a Muslim commits a crime in the West, the media announce, “A Muslim has committed a crime.” Similarly, if a devout Muslim in an Islamic country commits a crime, he is labeled as “a criminal with Islamic tendencies.” But if a Christian commits a crime, he is referred to by name only, not by his religion or creed.
For instance, in the well-known Oklahoma City bombing in the United States in 1995, the first accusations were directed toward Muslims. Later, it was revealed that the attack had been carried out by a Christian extremist. News agencies reported that a man named Timothy McVeigh was responsible for the bombing, without mentioning his faith or religious affiliation.
Mr. Timothy McVeigh, a member of the Branch Davidians, bombed the Oklahoma City federal building on April 19, 1995, as an act of revenge for a previous incident in which 80 members of his sect had been killed. The bombing killed 168 people, including several children in a nearby daycare center, and injured around 800 others.
If a Muslim commits an evil act, they say “a Muslim committed a crime.” But if a Muslim achieves greatness in science, he is introduced as “an Egyptian, Syrian, or Pakistani genius”—identified by nationality, not religion.
Alas! What a tragic way the devoted Muslims are portrayed in social media and films! Elderly Muslims are often mocked and ridiculed in comedies. In so-called “Islamic” movies, Muslims are portrayed as strange and foolish people with dreamy looks, silly smiles, and slow movements—as if being Muslim means being mentally backward.
Often, a devout Muslim is depicted speaking in classical Arabic instead of his local dialect. If only it were the same eloquent Arabic in which Allah revealed the Qur’an and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) spoke! But no—they portray Muslims speaking Arabic so complex and confusing that people around them cannot understand and look at them in astonishment (Subhan Allah!). Yet Arabic is among the most advanced and refined living languages in the world.
The Crime of Glorifying the West:
After the Islamic symbols in history and reality were destroyed, they elevated the value of the West so high that the Muslim had no choice left but to follow it—humiliated, degraded, and blindly imitative. They glorified the military might, civilization, morals, literature, skills, technology, and even the languages of the West to such an extent that Muslims became infatuated with them.
Today, a Muslim parent is often more eager for their child to learn English than Arabic. Gradually, we have fallen so far that even religious schools are called “Religious Language Institutes.” Using the excuse of needing foreign languages for Da’wah, they justify teaching their children Western tongues. But is this language taught because it is beloved to you, or because it is the language of the Qur’an?
Even if you hire a private tutor to teach your child Arabic, your child still spends most of the time learning the local or foreign language in school.
I am not against teaching a foreign language as a second language—provided that it truly remains the second priority. It is unreasonable to teach subjects like mathematics, geography, or history to children in English, French, German, or any other non-Arabic language.
Is this logical or wise? The nations that dream of leading the world protect their languages and give them precedence over others. In France, if you speak English, people respond regretfully out of respect for their native tongue. In Germany, if you wish to live there, you must speak German.
This glorification of the West has destroyed the ambitions of the youth, weakened their determination, and killed their willpower. The dream of many young Muslims now is to abandon their homeland, families, and children—to migrate to Western countries like the U.S. and Europe—believing they are going to live in “God’s paradise on earth.”
The result of these crimes and conspiracies is the same: despair has spread widely among Muslims. They have ignored their realities and contented themselves with following Western civilization and culture.
ولاحول ولاقوة إلا بالل Translation: And there is no way except with Allah.
