Satanism (part 29)
Platforms for the Promotion of Satanism (Continued)
-
Social Deviations
Poetry and music associated with Satanism are a source of extensive profanity and obscenity. Swearing and abusive language—which are regarded in society as anti-values—are widely used by these groups as a form of social norm-breaking. In addition to vulgar expressions, Satanist poetry also incites the audience to certain anti-human acts. Murder, prostitution, lying, and deception are among the reprehensible and anti-human behaviors promoted in such poems. In some music and lyrics—sometimes released under the pretext of humor, protest, or political critique—numerous profanities and obscene expressions can be found. Above all, such music spreads and encourages the breaking of social norms. [1]

Satellite Networks
In recent years, the harmful phenomenon of unregulated and unauthorized use of satellite reception equipment has caused irreparable effects at the family level. The lack of awareness or insufficient awareness among some heads of households has enabled these networks to penetrate the family sphere, and their toxic waves have altered Islamic thought, mindset, and lifestyle. Today, it is difficult to find a series or film that does not employ symbols of Satanism. Most satellite programs, in a targeted and pre-designed manner, promote Satanism under the guise of hedonism and estrangement from religion. The normalization of sexual gratification and unrestrained attention to lust among youth groups is considered one of the main methods of promoting Satanism. [2]
-
The Internet and Cyberspace
Undoubtedly, with its global scale, the Internet has facilitated the exchange of textual, audio, and visual files in many respects. It is evident, however, that destructive movements such as Satanism have also exploited this opportunity and injected their beliefs into this borderless information network. Regrettably, a large portion of the Internet and cyberspace has now become the best conduit for deviant groups. [3]
-
Music
Satanists emphasize the role of music—especially “metal” music (characterized by fast, intense bodily movements in which the guitar plays a central role)—in attracting young people, claiming that Satan has embedded hidden messages within music. [4]
Among the recommendations Satanists give one another is listening to aggressive, violent music that carries fear and hatred. They constantly express their anger and hostility toward religions and divine sanctities, and regard extremely harsh singers—whose voices resemble the roaring of wild animals—as symbols of Satanist power. They attempt to compensate for their deficiencies and needs through excessive violence, and insulting religions is promoted and advertised in Satanist compositions as “freedom of expression.” [5]
-
Games or Computer Games
The production of thousands of computer games depicting battles between cruel and evil beings in a particular modern style is another avenue for the promotion of Satanism. The designers of these programs have deliberately created such games to compel players to choose the evil option during gameplay. Therefore, guardians and authorities should pay special attention to this matter. [6]
-
The Press
From the past to the present, the press has played a special role in shaping the images of individuals and personalities, and this trend continues. Depending on their audience, the press can present truth as falsehood and falsehood as truth; portray incapable individuals as competent managers and depict capable managers as ineffective and incompetent. Moreover, due to unprincipled methods of coverage and criticism of a destructive figure, the press can inadvertently contribute to that figure’s further growth.
Some publications—under the influence of the international climate, to increase their readership, or due to financial assistance from Satanist circles, and so on—knowingly or unknowingly engage in the promotion of Satanism. [7]
-
Sports
Sports are also among the fields in which Satanists operate covertly. Some well-known Western athletes adhere to Satanism, while others place themselves within spheres that ultimately lead to Satanism. [8]
