Comparison of Ideologies (The 3rd and Final Part)
    2. Doubting the Capitalist Ideology
As this ideology was briefly explained above, it turned out that the followers of this ideology believe in God (Allah), that is, they believe in before and after life, but they reject the existence of religion in life and they themselves create a system of life and live according to it; this belief is also a false belief; because this is itself a misguidance that they consider the creator of the whole world to be Allah Almighty, but they say that He does not interfere in our lives!
When we look deeply into this ideology, we realize that it is a creation of human thought and is limited to human thought; therefore, it cannot solve human problems. That is why the systems created by human thought have many contradictions and over time, all its rulings change.
In fact, in this ideology, humans are sovereign, while in Islam, sovereignty belongs to the Sharia and the state is only its executor. The implementation of the democratic system causes misery in society and does not solve human problems, but on the contrary, it increases their problems.
This system is fundamentally in conflict and contradiction with Islam, because this ideology is dependent on two ideas that are both opposed to Islam, namely: 1. Sovereignty (the authority to make lawful and unlawful) belongs to the people; 2. In this ideology, there are many freedoms and the people are also the source of power.
Capitalist democracy is the origin and ideology of Western and American governments, which consists of separating religion from the state and the distance between religion and life. In other words, give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to Allah what belongs to Him; therefore, it is man himself who establishes a system for himself.
This ideology is blasphemy and contradicts Islam, because according to Islam, Allah sends the Sharia and only He establishes a system for man. The existence of the state is considered part of the laws of Islam and is necessary so that all matters of life can be resolved based on the laws of the Sharia that He (Allah) has revealed.
Therefore, due to the blasphemy of capitalist thinking and ideology, it is forbidden for Muslims to accept the principle of capitalism or choose its ideas and system; because man is a servant of Allah, not free.
The four freedoms that exist in this ideology are contradictory and contrary to Islamic laws; because Muslims are not free in their beliefs and whenever they apostatize, they are called to repentance and if they do not return, they must be killed. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: «مَن بَدَّلَ دِينَهُ فَاقْتُلُوهُ» Translation: “Whoever changes his religion, kill him”. [1]
Muslims are also not free in property; it is not permissible for a Muslim to take possession of anything except within the framework of its Sharia; Therefore, he does not have the freedom to acquire something else in exchange for whatever he wants.
There is no personal freedom in Islam; personal freedom does not exist in Islam, but he adheres to what the Sharia has required of him. If a Muslim acts contrary to what Allah Almighty has ordered, he will be punished. Therefore, the freedoms that exist in the Western capitalist system do not exist in Islam. Rather, these freedoms are among the most prominent ideas of the democratic capitalist system.
A democratic system is a system in which the will, sovereignty, and executive power of the laws are in the hands of the people; in this system, the people are their own masters and commanders, and no one else has sovereignty over them. Therefore, they are the owners of the legislation and they make any law they want for themselves and nullify and abolish any law they want. But since the people themselves do not have the ability to do these things directly, they appoint representatives to make laws on their behalf.
Therefore, this system is a system of disbelief; because it was established by man and is far from the laws of the Sharia; therefore, ruling by his system is disbelief and a kind of invitation to a system of disbelief. While Islam considers sovereignty according to the Sharia and has made the freedoms of Muslims in all actions dependent on the laws of the Sharia and has not left them free in any of their actions, Because these four freedoms are completely in conflict with Islam.
Muslims must realize that democracy is not compatible with Islam, because democracy originated from human thought and the Islamic system originated from divine revelation; therefore, it is the solution to all human problems. Therefore, those who turn to other ideologies and take the owners of this ideology as their friends and confidants, Allah Almighty says about them in Surah Al-Imran, verse 118: «يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَاتَتَّخِذُوا بِطَانَةً مِّن دُونِكُمْ لَايَأْلُونَكُمْ خَبَالًا وَدُّوا مَا عَنِتُّمْ قَدْ بَدَتِ الْبَغْضَاءُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَمَا تُخْفِي صُدُورُهُمْ أَكْبَرُ» Translation: “O you who have believed! Do not choose as your confidants any other than yourselves. They do not cease from all evil against you. They love that you should be in hardship. [The signs of] enmity have come out of their mouths; and what they conceal in their hearts is greater than that”.
Allah the Almighty also says in Surah Yusuf: «إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلهِ ۚ أَمَرَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ» Translation: “Indeed, the judgment belongs to none but Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him. That is the permanent religion, but most people do not know.” [2]
Muslims should know that the Islamic system is a blessing and gift from Allah the Almighty to humanity. It is because it was Islam that brought unity and integrity to Muslims, but now, when the bloodthirsty colonialists destroyed the Islamic state and system through their mercenaries, the strength of Muslims turned into weakness, their dignity into humiliation, and the implementation of the Islamic system gave way to the implementation of the democratic system. The result of the implementation of socialist and capitalist ideology is that millions of people have been murdered, millions of people have been misled, and millions of other people have been colonized. The gift of these two systems is that many murders take place every day; for example, the socialists killed 48 million people in 85 years of rule, of which Stalin alone killed forty million people.
The capitalist system also sheds human blood every day, as we witness, and they also made society commit other crimes such as: theft, plunder, robbery, gambling, drinking alcohol, adultery, sodomy and thousands of other mental and psychological diseases.
But unfortunately, we witness that our modern society follows the capitalist ideology, which is fundamentally in conflict with Islam, and considers this the way out of its problems, while in reality this is taking a model and imitating the ideology of foreigners, which is not permissible from a religious perspective at all; even if imitating is in the belief, it causes the disbelief of the imitators of this ideology; because Muslims must obey the Prophet (PBUH) and make him their model; because obeying and taking a model from the Prophet (PBUH) is obligatory.
Some political groups and parties follow socialist and capitalist ideologies and follow these ideologies to reform society, establish a government and form a system, and seek their own solutions in them, unaware that Islam came to solve human problems and has solved all human problems. In the Islamic system, the constitution and other laws and rulings are derived from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and anything else is rejected, because Allah Almighty says: «فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ ۖ وَلَاتَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ.» Translation: “So judge between them by what Allah has revealed! Do not follow their desires! And do not turn away from the Divine Law!”. [3]
And He also said: «وَأَنِ احْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَاحْذَرْهُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنْ بَعْضِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ إِلَيْكَ» Translation: “And judge between them [the People of the Book] by what Allah has revealed! And do not follow their desires! And beware of them, lest they turn you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you!” [4]
In another place, Allah Almighty considers issuing a ruling contrary to Islam to be blasphemy: «وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَافِرُونَ» Translation: “And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, then those are the disbelievers”. [5]
So, ideologies other than Islam, such as democracy and communism, are in conflict with Islam because they were created by humans. Therefore, accepting them, calling to them, and establishing a society based on them is forbidden.
It is also forbidden for Muslims to gather together on the basis of ethnicity, race, and the like, because promoting these practices is also prohibited. Because Allah the Almighty says: «وَمَنْ يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ» Translation: “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter, he will be among the losers.” [6]
And the Prophet (PBUH) also said: «مَن عَمِلَ عملًا ليس عليه أمرُنا فهو رَدٌّ» Translation: “Whoever does an action that is not in accordance with Our command, it will be rejected.” [7] The Prophet (PBUH) is the one who must be followed. Because of this saying of Almighty Allah, who says:
«لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُواللهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللهَ كَثِيرًا» Translation: “Surely, there is a good example for you in the life of the Messenger of Allah, for those who hope for Allah’s mercy and the Day of Resurrection and remember Allah a lot”. [8]
He also says: «قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ» Translation: “Say: If you love Allah, follow me, so that Allah may love you and forgive you your sins.” [9]
Allah Almighty also says in this verse: «وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا» Translation: “And whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you, abstain from it.” [10]
Muslims should know that everything is present in Islam and Allah Almighty has explained everything through this religion, as He says: «وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ تِبْيَانًا لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ» Translation: “And We have sent down to you the Book, explaining everything, and a guidance, a mercy, and good news for the Muslims.” [11]
Therefore, everything is present in the Holy Quran; that is, it has given solutions to all problems. So why do Muslims turn to other ideologies, take others as their role models, and act according to their ideologies? Whereas Islam is complete and has provided solutions to all problems and there is no problem that remains without a solution.
