    Satanism (Part 8)
    Satanism in Terms of Ideology
    3. Religious Satanism
The tendencies of this group are often similar to those of philosophical Satanism; however, they generally have a prerequisite that the Satanist must believe in a supernatural law that defines one or more gods (all of whom are Satanic or identified with Satan). The concept of the devil in this branch can only be derived from the mind of a Satanist or from a distorted (usually pre-Christian) religion. Depending on which type of Satanism is being considered, the god or gods can take on various forms and may include deities from different traditions. Some of them originate from very ancient religions. Common forms of Satanism have adopted their gods from ancient Egyptian religions, many ancient Mesopotamian goddesses, and sometimes from Roman and Greek deities (such as Mars, the god of war). Other Satanists claim to worship the original God, but the majority assert that their god is very old, possibly dating back to prehistoric times, and may represent some of the earliest gods worshipped by humanity. A central tenet of this type of Satanism, as with other forms, is the emphasis on the cultivation of human personal talents and, indeed, a form of selfishness.
This group of Satanists, who are considered traditional and older than other forms, refer to themselves as traditional Satanists, while they classify philosophical Satanists as contemporary Satanists.
    4. Gothic Satanism
The most dangerous group of Satanists is considered to be this category, as far as this group is interpreted as “evil worshipers”. This sect of Satanists is related to the era of religious inquisition by the church. In any case, this trend is also considered as a kind of evil worship with a tendency towards darkness, like the previous categories, and it is considered one of the dirtiest deviant sects. This group is usually accused of acts such as eating babies, sacrificing virgin girls, rape, killing goats, eating excrement, hating religious people (especially Christians) and… Of course, not all Satanist groups consider these acts as obligatory. Contrary to the claims of the new Satanists who insist on not abusing children and animals based on the texts of the “Satanic Bible”, the most horrific acts are carried out by this group to oppose divine orders.
This way of thinking is categorized in the book Mallius Malificarum. It is worth noting that this book was written during the Inquisition by the Church in 1490 and was never officially used.
